If 10 times his previous highest payday isn't enough for Wilder, then I guess he'll have to make a counter-offer to Joshua (maybe 10 times Joshua's highest payday).

I kid.. of course it will be Joshua and Hearn doing all the work and making all the offers. The fight will get made I don't think we need to worry. Wilder will end up accepting one of the offers.. despite the half-human half-hybrid comments, he's not THAT stupid.

This is Wilder's one chance to set him and his family up for life, and AJ wants to become undisputed. It's only a matter of time..

Didn't Parker get basically the same? If they're offering a similar amount as a flat fee knowing full well how much bigger this fight is, then it's a typical Hearn low ball move. He knows they won't accept it and he's relying on idiot fans to back him up.

Who else have they got to fight? They'll lose the purse bids against Povetkin. Then they can fight Whyte. That's it. The casuals will lose patience by that stage and that's AJ's British market. AJ is Wilder's biggest payday but I believe that works both ways now.

Calm down gents. It's called negotiation and like all these big fights it starts with a low ball offer. There will be at least another couple of offers way above this one. Have patience.

Yep this is how negotiations start. It's very similar to what happened with Parker. Higgins said 50/50 at first like Wilder. Hearn retorted with a he doesn't deserve 20% response. The first offer from Hearn was rumoured to be a flat fee too, Higgins said he thought Hearns had been hacked and he'd been sent an offer from a hacker because the first offer was so low.

Fact is neither side has shown any real interest to negotiate this fight until now. Wilder talked a lot about wanting the fight immediately while trying to fight other people, Hearn kept saying he wanted later in the year. Now at least we have both sides looking to make a deal. Wilder dropped his demands, well at least kind of, he was still asking 50/50 just over 2 fights and Hearn has actually ended all the talk and made an offer. We are heading in the right direction but this fight won't be signed anytime soon, I expect it to be drawn out like the Parker negotiations.

Absolute joke.. Hearn is pricing himself out. Anybody with common sense can see it.

Wilder is worth more in the fight, Just like Mcgreggor earned a **** load more than he ever did in the UFC against Floyd and also could not earn anywhere close to that fighting anywhere else, The fact is he was worth that money in THAT fight. Wilder brings the final belt to the table and is the only guy who can give the opportunity to make history and become undisputed champion, its also the fight everybody wants to see.

12.5 million is still a **** load of money though and if wilder genuinely thinks they are pricing them selves out he should just take the fight, Beating AJ and becoming the undisputed HW champion is worth more than the money and he also then puts him self in position to make much more money in the future. Weather its a low ball offer or not if a better deal can not be reached it should not get in the way of making the fight happen imo, I would like to see wilder get a better split but at the same time some times you also have to accept your the B side like floyd did with oscar and accept the opportunity to beat "the man" is more important than the money.

Why? Because Joshua has put in the hard work since then and collected another belt to the table?

Exactly. Why should AJ suffer after adding another belt to the list

This greedy bodybuilder and his promoter make me sick. Deontay wants that 50 - 50 split. You got 2 days Joshua to make the bomb squad that offer. Or Brezeale's getting that golden opportunity for the wbc title.

35% is about right. Flat fee is a duck from AJ and that's coming from an AJ fan

It isn't fair for Wilder to make 15x his highest ever purse if AJ doesn't even double his. If Wilder wants the fight that much then he needs to take the lower part and be prepared to swallow his pride

$1.5 mil for fighting Brezeale. How wonderful

Why is 35% right. Why should AJ have to take less when its him with the 3 belts, him who sells the tickets, him who sells the PPV's.
