Loma ATG

Yep, that's what ATG lists are, people's opinions.

The HOF isn't what it use to be either, I mean I loved watching Gatti fight, but he isn't a HOF caliber fighter.

 

His skills weren't even good enough to beat old AF fighter with no defense, and a young untested fighter.

 

He was very famous, so how did Gatti not belong there?

 

On pure ability, he's top 10 ATG.
On resume, probably 100-200.

 

HOF is suppose to be reserved for the best of the best from their time, that was never Gatti.

 

HOF and ATG is Ottke, he was undefeated as a pro.
All other boxers are not better than Ottke.

 

I always thought the Hall of Fame, was for those who acquired much 'fame".

 

I guess JCC Jr. is a shoe in then.

 

His fame comes from his father who is already in the HOF.

 

Not sure how famous he is. At one time he was very popular amongst Mexicans, but I think his last fights have been at school gyms.

If the skills only work against lower tier opposition are they really all that great? Loma is a guy who looks spectacular against guys who are limited in skill and athleticism or guys who are shrimps. As soon as a little skill is added to the opponent that is his size he no longer looks spectacular. Linares, Tank's son, Campbell, Lopez etc.

 

I personally had it a draw. But that's not a win, and losing to old Salido and someone like Lopez is not ATGish imo.
