His skills weren't even good enough to beat old AF fighter with no defense, and a young untested fighter.
Not sure how famous he is. At one time he was very popular amongst Mexicans, but I think his last fights have been at school gyms.
If the skills only work against lower tier opposition are they really all that great? Loma is a guy who looks spectacular against guys who are limited in skill and athleticism or guys who are shrimps. As soon as a little skill is added to the opponent that is his size he no longer looks spectacular. Linares, Tank's son, Campbell, Lopez etc.
Bro he was good enough to beat teo. They were separated by a round. If boxing isnt scored per round, you can make an argument that loma kicked teo's ass, but thats not the case.
I personally had it a draw. But that's not a win, and losing to old Salido and someone like Lopez is not ATGish imo.
Bruh that salido fight was so ****. Salido refused to make weight and came into fight night 19lbs overweight. If that wasnt enough, Salido hit Loma with like 100 low blows, which the ref didnt even bother calling, he only called 2 low blow penalties and no points were taken. BUT THATS NOT ENOUGH, cuz in the 12th round loma hit salido with a straight left that would have put him down... BUT THE DUMBASS REF decided to save salido by calling a hugging penalty on Loma when it was salido who was clinching. Thats not to mention all the head butts and (maybe inadverted/maybe dirty) foot stepping by Salido. Fact of the matter is, that fight had asterisks peppered all over it. But loma took the L. But its not as bad as people suggest it is, because he looked like the better fighter that night.
