loma being called p4p absurd? bias in boxing

like many fans you still think that salido result was relevant, that is what all the people backing walters were yapping on about and now they look foolish.

im not dismissing him, i just believe lomachenko would beat him and in style, same way you seem to think gamboa would beat him.

I actually do see this probably happening. He will get too much by some, but too few by the many who call for it. People need to just be honest with themselves, really. Everything doesn't have to be to such extremes. Opinions of boxers accomplishments isn't a scored debate but merely ones' opinion (and, obviously, respect comes from the ability to justify it).

The issue is that if he was ever some true GOAT or worthy of elite P4P placement, specifically all the folks yelling he's P4P king with a 7-1 record, he would have never looked so poor against Salido (yes, Salido is good, but my terms are relative to those claiming Lomachenko a top 1 or 3 or 5 fighter) when they actually FIRST fought. That means one of his eight ever bouts he looked tremendously far from P4P fighter or some ATG sublimely skilled boxer. Let me emphasize the "one of his eight ever bouts." Salido was aged and faded heading into it. Tack on a couple years and a couple huge closely fought wars that he didn't come out on top in and, well, how great of a win would it really be by this point?

Another bottom line... he has fought 4 relevant opponents ever. Lost one. I'm a bigger fan of Martinez than most. Most people and I'm not even kidding viewed him as one of the luckiest and worst titleholders in recent years, although I was never one of them. I don't like Russell and while he has some visible skills, well, that dude really hasn't done squat to be some career best win for a P4P top 5'r get out of here with that nonsense. Although, hey, maybe by many of your guys' standards, maybe Russell Jr is in the top 5 P4P based on his skills too!! C'mon guys. P4P Top Five??? Russell Jr and Martinez??? Put the crack pipe down, ya'll.

He hasnt proved enough in the pros yet to be P4P top 5 but he has the skill and potential.
