yeah I’ve done this and is part of my explanation. Screenshots do not show anything it’s the video. The punch hits Lomas elbow hence the elbow getting tagged out the way and the punch hits Lomas glove for the one supposedly landing “behind the guard”. I’ll post videos soon to demonstrate. Let’s say the punch behind the elbow lands (even though it definitely hits the elbow hence it forcibly being moved) - punch count : -Loma 4 clean headshots plus a jab that lands with some force Vs -Lopez 2 body shots (one which Loma rides and one which tags elbow) + inside glove partial land left hook can you please answer which is better in terms of clean punching? Even if I take those punches as landed from Lopez they are not of the same quality and clean punches as Lomas and that is fact. Ls? The only one who has been contributing is banana I’m still waiting from you on your ridiculous lie that Lopez landed 11 shots in round 2. Are you still ignoring this question from me? Okay where are those 11 punches Lopez lands in round 2? I know you are hiding from answering this By screenshots? I’ve already explained you cannot ascertain whether something lands purely from a screenshot and also read my above reply to banana and respond Can you answer - are you claiming this is I round 2 and 6? Because if you are you haven’t watched the rounds properly Again - it’s you being dishonest . Again tell me where those 11 punches landed are you dishonest deflecting dumbo Again - show me the 11 landed punches Lopez lands in round 2 that you claim (which is utterly false) .. Nope. And certainly not by you who are hiding from answering prett much all my questions
https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/on-my-scorecards-loma-never-lost-one-fight.704107/page-2 Come on, man.
Okay dude This content is protected I didn’t give him round 12 but others did that’s why I’ve said arguably . Punch count above and you know what I’m done with this “debate” as it is one way traffic . I’m responding to you and you can’t respond to me. Answer the below or concede that you’ve lost the debate. You keep toing and froing moving between points we are talking about rounds 2 and 6 and here we are you bringing up round 12. It’s clear to me you cannot answer the below with a simple response I’ll only respond once you’ve grown a pair and decide to answer it:
I've been consistently dealing only with your time stamps up to now. Even that Artorias guy you just posted recognises 2:17 of round 2 as a landed punch which you won't do. He completely ignores other punches though, where is Lopez's body punch at 2:40 of round 2 for example, it's omitted from the video entirely with no explanation given for why it shouldn't count. If he's just going to completely ignore punches without explanation you can chuck his punch count in the bin.
Funny thing is I like Lomachenko as a fighter but his fans are intolerable. I think Lomachenko was unlucky vs Salido should've been DQed IMO. And Haney fight Loma was unlucky not to get the decision. But come on Loma has no one else to blame but himself for the Lopez loss, that was a legitimate loss and Loma fans need to stop crying about it. And I'm glad you actually posted that thread because @MismatchHypejob said before he didn't think Lomachenko won the 12th round. But as you can see in that thread you posted you can see me quoting him where I say WTF, how in the world did you think Lomachenko won that round ? When that was Lopez's best round of the fight mind boggling. And that just tells you how biased he is and he doesn't stop crying about it like move on buddy.
I do actually like threads such as these. But let's run with your premise. So say he beats Salido. He's arguably the best FW in the world but never unfiies. His SFW run goes on as normal, clearly the best but again never unifies. At LW what would we have? Unifies every belt but has razor close fights with Lopez and Haney. Retains his position as a 4 belt champion. Where does that put him standing wise? For me it's more Josh Taylor than it is Terrence Crawford. It's fair to say Loma would give anyone in history a good fight from FW to LW, I don't think anyone would dispute that. I don't really have a problem with those who think he's the best SFW that's ever fought. But at LW he hasn't been a dominant force. He was dropped against Linares and has had two razor close fights. I don't see a legitimate argument for him being p4p number 1, even with these fights going his way.
I’ll be posting clips soon but in the meantime you’re still avoiding the important question (which actually takes into consideration if you count those punches you raised as landed- so it’s not clear why you are continuing to avoid the question) and point I’ve raised:
You’re chatting all this shite about me being dishonest and biased. yet you have utterly failed in being able to answer the points I’ve raised. and you failed by lying saying Lopez landed 11 punches in round 2 - which is objectively and comprehensively false. This alone demonstrates you have not watched the round properly despite “laughing” when watching the round thinking Lopez won as if you understood what was actually going on And you continue to be unable to show me those 11 punches Lopez lands when asked. Can you still not go ahead and show me this? Please stop - you have no argument or value to anything you’ve raised
I already stated right at the beginning with my first post in this thread that round 2 is a round that could be given either way. It is your bogus time stamps I took issue with.
Oh dear oh dear. You claimed screenshots were proof of Lopez landing punches when you cannot see what lands via a screenshot or even some angles. https://imgur.com/gallery/IMlrRoq This punch you claim lands from a zero context screenshot. When in fact from this video it visibly tags the elbow forcibly moving it out of the way. From this perspective you cannot say this punch hits the body - all evidence points towards hitting the elbow. So much for bogus timestamps… it was also claimed “Loma gets punched behind. The guard” when in fact Lopez hook slaps Lomas glove out of the way and he at best scrapes Lomas ear. If you want to take that as a clean punch , go for it, but it objectively is not https://imgur.com/gallery/3E2rdEX and yet again you’ve failed to answer the question. I’ve asked which set of punches are cleaner and who lands the more frequent cleaner shots out of the below. let me put these videos for you: Lomas punches: https://imgur.com/a/GK9pY3T https://imgur.com/a/XN4F9TB https://imgur.com/a/i6Sw4BJ Lopez’s punches: https://imgur.com/a/7o1ZZZU (punch is ridden by Loma and Lopez is way overextended) https://imgur.com/gallery/IMlrRoq (elbow) https://imgur.com/gallery/3E2rdEX (glove) & Lopez left hook slap at the end of the round after getting his head pinged by Loma 3 punch combo which punches are cleaner ? Simple question
Movement or no, If a punch lands clean and causes someone to back away and reset, it will count as an effective punch since a) it landed and b) it prevented the opponent from responding in kind in that moment. Not every punch that connects has to have a dramatic effect to count as a scoring shot.
I made no such comment about a punch behind the guard, someone else must have said it so i've no idea why you're addressing that to me. The punch knocks Loma's glove out of the way on it's path to hitting Loma in the head because Loma's glove wasn't strong enough to block it. Look at the picture I posted, where is Loma's glove after the punch has reached it's destination? Loma failed to block the punch and got hit in the head, it's a landed punch. Same again with the body punch, the picture proves that it made contact with the body, Loma's elbow being clipped out of the way en route is irrelevant. You have this bizarre criteria about what should count as a landed punch, that the punch has to travel perfectly from a to b, this is not the case.
