I'd be surprised if it happened. Inoue hasn't even fought at 122 yet so any talk of 126 is premature to say the least and could Loma even make 126lbs anymore while he's a small light weight that doesn't mean he's still able to make that weight where he hasn't fought at for nearly 8 years. Right now Loma/Inoue is a pure fantasy fight.
This has been talked about since 2019, pre-covid, pre-Teo, pre-war Fact of the matter is, if Loma wants to sausage about @ 126 then maybe he can do mean things @ 130 instead. As it is, I prefer Loma punching above his weight Loma more likely to fight Shakur than Inoue anyway. Plus Loma smashes the bloke. I don't think Inoue could even beat a legit 126 champ, only the weaker ones... maybe WDEFAR
Exactly. Look at what happened when 3G was simply asked about a fight w/ Floyd. Virtually every single fanatic decided they HATE 3G and was chasing a smaller guy. That's all it took.
What a post!!! Couldn’t agree more. I love Monster and Loma but to imply Loma is a weight bully is absolutely asinine, especially as he is about to fight one of the youngest, biggest, fastest fighters in the lightweight division… I don’t understand anyone who slags Loma or Monster. I’ve been around this game for 45 years and got to see the primes of the four kings and yet I still appreciate guys like Loma and Monster. I consider it an absolute privilege to watch these masters at work and will be very sad when they decide to stop. A lot of fans really suck balls these days…
LOL Serge living in a bizarro world liking 2 fighters at the same time? What is wrong with you. Round ESB, we don't take kindly to folks admire'en more than one fighter at the same time, specially if they close to the same division. Understand?!? Now take that big city talk outta these here parts.
You're not gonna see any Loma hate from me. He's one of my favorite active fighters, never once called him a weight bully and I'm rooting for him to pull off the upset against Haney. I just figured it was silly to even entertain the idea of a Inoue match up down the road since it's impossible for it to happen but I understand that he was just answering a question where he can't say no without people thinking he's ducking. Still not sure why any interviewer would be asking Loma that kind of question knowing full well that is just not plausible.
