I watched many of his fights, when they were fought. He was a tough SOB. I am not suggesting he was not a good technician, he was. I'm just saying each fighter does it differently. He came the mean streets of El Chorrillo and you could see this in the ring.
The point was to show two can play that game. Loma didnt beat him all over the ring. Except for the 11th round. And even when he landed hard clean punches Pedraza took it pretty well. Hes just doesn't have much power. But I brought up JLC because the guy brought up that Pedraza was stopped by Davis. Or he was thinking about it. Pedraza is not a bum hes a good decent fighter. And JLC was stopped by much worse fighters than Davis, multiple times. And he took FMJ into deep waters. Two can play that game. Besides Loma won every round nearly. And got a 10-7. Its whatever.
sorry but you used a ******ed analogy duran is probably more technical than loma a master inside there is a blue print to beat loma and it's a simple one
Duran was not "more technical" than Loma. Not even close. Lomachenko is one of the best technicians I have ever seen in the ring.
This crap again. Here's a simple question for you: Who wins between a fresh 18 year old Loma vs a 26 year old Loma at the time of his first pro fight? The advantages he would have gained with the 200+ AM fights (approx not gonna check how many AM fights he had after 18yo), the 4-6 fights under pro rules he had before entering the pros, and the age will make a huge difference in the two. If you really think it makes no difference then it tells me all I need to know.
Why do we always feel compelled to elevate one fighter and denigrate another? Loma and Floyd were/are both great fighters. They will never fight so let it be.
No. Would any natural featherweight? Duran at 147 is the equivalent of Loma at 135. It's the third weight class for each. Loma at 147 would be his fifth weight class. Durans fifth class was 160, and I don't see too many people using it as a dis that he didn't beat Hagler. Or that Hearns iced him in his fourth division.
That's very possible as well. Perhaps Pedraza's style did give Loma more problems then expected but, as long as Loma fans can make excuses they will and the surgery is a very good excuse. I will give Loma a pass on his performance as well. Always give fighters the benefit of the doubt until it is 100% clear there is no other excuse to give.
