    Not true.

    80" is average for a 6'3" heavy. Most 6'6" heaveyweights have way longer reaches than the K's. Michael Grant, 6'7 86", Audley Harrison 6'6' 86", Lewis 6'5" 84", Akinwande 6'7 86".

Ah, you meant wingspan. I thought you were talking short arms asin T-rex/Tua arms... with respect to their height, that is.

That would be true as well. W Klitschko has shorter arms than Floyd Mayweather measured from the armpit to the tip of the fist. As somebody mentioned in this thread Wlad has broader shoulders than his brother but shorter arms. Vitali is longer at 29" but still quite short for a 6'7-6'8 man.

I don't think there is an average height/wingspan category. Here are some examples of boxers with about the same or even less reach than their height

    Frans Botha - 6'2/74 inches

    Chris Byrd - 6'1/74 inches

    Sergei Lyahovich - 6'4/74.5 inches

    David Bostice- 6'5/76 inches

    Enzo Macarinelli - 6'4/74 inches

    Mike Tyson - 5'11/71 inches

Average heavyweight reach these days is about 77-78". I suppose one could take an average of the top ten and come out with a true number. Anyone want to do the math?

    Russell,

1950s heavyweight Giant Ewart Potgeiter 7'0 325lb sported a 94" reach, he held james J parker a contender to a draw, and he killed a man in the ring!

He was a Saffer. They used to inflate the stats ocassionally in the old days, but 94" is believable for his size (I've read some sources that he was way over 7').

See, that's why i find those numbers unreliable. Klitschko having shorter arms than Mayweather??

Here is Vitali Klitschko with Fernando Vargas (before he blew up to his current James Toney-like state):

See how big the disparity is. Vargas is 5'10" with a 70" reach, two inches taller than Mayweather with two inches less reach.

Vargas isn't 5'10, nowhere near. I know boxrec has him listed as such, but i do take an interest in these things so i notice comparisons over the years. For example Winky, who has always been listed at 5'10 tops (early in his career 5'9) was several inches taller than Fernando.

As for Mayweather, he's a 5'8 guy with VERY long arms for his height, and Wlad is a 6'6" guy with short arms. Mayweathers 72" reach is impressive when you consider how slim he is as well (not a great distance across the shoulders).

Another Condor worth a mention: Jermain Taylor, middleweight, 78". Not as impressive as Paul Williams, but Jermain is actually a good athlete, fast etc with it.

Tashvilli weighed 317 when he kod Reltih, and 312 when he stopped Nilats,he is very slow ,but seemingly impossible to hurt,of course his opposition is at best variable ,but no one has gone the route with him yet .Ykstort is his next opponent,he is listed as 238 and 6 ' 5''.
