Yes, after putting feelers out - and the public laughing at the possibility.

Hearn confirmed he was a potential opponent for Whyte not AJ from the start.

    Hearn when Fury fought Wallin:

"Eddie Hearn has branded Tyson Fury’s fight with Otto Wallin a ‘shambles’ and ‘bad for boxing’ ahead of the Gypsy King’s return to Las Vegas."

This is nitpicking, but Joshua didn't even drop Sprott, never mind knock him out.

I agree with Hearn comments, poor opponent that has struggled and failed to impress against journeymen since.

Should never be in the running for the AJ comeback when if better opponents such as Hrgovic and Zhang are available.

Hearn was very concerned for Whyte immediately after Usyk-Joshua 1, he said something along the lines of "Wallin is a bigger southpaw than Usyk and probably punches harder", hence Whyte's blatant duck of Wallin 10 days prior to the fight, followed by Whyte's embarrassingly poor performance against Fury (though consistent with his level of going 50-50 with Chisora and Parker).

If Povetkin was so good and such a meaningful scalp in the Whyte rematch, why didn't he land any meaningful punches? I thought prime Povetkin was very good, not some useless bum who was far worse than Dave Allen. Was Whyte a 200 IQ slick defensive boxing wizard that night? Where did that go against Fury, where Whyte couldn't do anything?

The fact that you even count that "win" over a sick shot beyond all belief corpse of Povetkin, let alone count it as Whyte's best win, proves that you have zero integrity when it comes to boxing.

Prior to Wilder's bout with Breazeale, you described Breazeale as being a "solid fringe contender", on the same level as Takam.

Wilder destroyed Breazeale in 1 and suddenly Breazeale was useless, though in fairness you did boost Wilder up to 4th in your rankings.

Hearn recently admitted that they didn't want the Fury fight now: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/hearn-exposes-joshuas-ducking-of-fury-in-bombshell-interview.694541/

Fury, Wilder and Ortiz (2017, pre-Wilder) would have all beaten Joshua in all likelihood: PBC benchwarmer fat Andy exposed him and it was always a matter of time before someone else competent got to him, which happened to be Usyk x2. The Pulev's, Takam's and Parker's were pure smoke and mirrors: little power, little belief or will to win, near-zero threat.

    Give it a rest, @NEETzschean aka @ShortRound

There was zero proof that Povetkin was "sick" and he had just knocked out Whyte in a punch. Far from his best version, but no need for the usual hyperbole.
