If the mandatory goes to a bid, he only gets 30 percent. Much better chance to negotiate better deal for Wilder ... and if he beats Wilder he would get 70 percent of mandatory (presumably in Ru$$ia) vs. Povetkin and 50-50 split with Wlad -- or he could go for unification right away at 50-50.

Either way, this seems the smarter path. Anyone suggesting otherwise who ALSO posts about Wilder not being good ... work on that consistency.

I'll bet Dallas to donuts he's not fighting Glazkov. Too much risk and they won't offer nearly enough cash.

He's probably figuring on taking out Wilder (easy night ) snagging the coveted green belt, creating higher demand and payday vs Wlad!

it'll be Wilder vs Bronco Billy

too little $$$ for Glazkov... Takam too dangerous...
Jennings has another fight signed and is too risky anyway...
Briggs is old but still too dangerous... Nichols rematch
would be too dangerous... he may not take bribe...

Bronco Billy Wright - 50 years old - almost as fat as Nichols!!

Wright is the Right choice!! :good

:dance <--- Wilder after he stops Wright in 11 rounds!!!

Pizza Face and all Wilder celebrates his come
from behind victory over a 50 year old fat guy!!!

    :silly

I would think 30 percent of a purse bid with Wlad and K2 is still a lot better than what Wilder's team has been shelling out. Plus the chance to win 3 belts as opposed to one would be enticing. It goes back to a comment I made earlier, I must assume Glazkov's team is very confident and would rather face Wilder than Wlad. In big picture he could, should he win, leverage the title into the purse bid against Povektin as you pointed out or should he duck out against his mandatory he could go for a unification with Wlad and negotiate a close to 50/50 split.

Yeah I guess his team sees a lot of flaws in a Wilder and is taking the easier path.

Yeah pretty much. I don't think much of Glazkov but this is a big jump for Wilder.

Bronco Billy is the A, and the B side. WILDMAN will C his way out of the ring via a stiff jab. Unification match with Wlad after that lol. Bronco Billy can finally retire from a couple good paydays at age of 70 : )

What's so unbelievable? Glazkov - has shown little power at heavy (he couldn't hurt Adamek, Cunningham, or Scott)none are large heavies, he couldn't handle Scott's movement or his jab. He tired against Adamek. Overall I am very unimpressed with Glazkov as a pro. I think he is a fighter with good connections and management.
However with his amateur Pedigree and the fact he has been facing decent opposition this is a big step up in class for Wilder. Far better than Molina and marginally better than Duhaupas.
I would rate this as Wilder's best defense of the three he has made and his second best opponent (Stiverne) if the fight is finalized.
