No idea. He sometimes goes on about different types of fats, but I zone out at that point. For the record, I don't carb cycle. I eat piles of carbs all the time and anything else that takes my fancy. If I wanted to shift fat I'd definitely give it a try though. It seems to work very well

Of course it works, everything works as long as you eat less than you need. The person who started this thread boxes so health and performance are important when choosing a diet. He's not an oiled up sack of muscles and bones that needs to look good in a g-string.

Sprinting requires a lot of msucle tissue, look at the average 100m sprinter then compare him to a marathon runner. If you run distances your body will adapt, you will lose alot of fat and muscle mass which will mean you lose weight.

    A few things ...

    1) This thread is two days old. How the hell can you give a two week update just after asking your question :huh
    2) You can not do a 2.7 mile sprint.

If you're doing sprints you'll be building up muscles in your legs, so your weight might not change, but you will be getting slimmer.

I bet you're eating more. But still, I'd go with long distance until you get closer to your target. I've been dropping 2-3 lb a week and I'm only going about 8-10min per mile.

Also, what you're doing is interval training. It's great for becoming a better runner, but it's going to tire you out faster than a steady run and it'll make you more sore. Also, you'll probably want to eat more for some reason, at least that's my experience. Long slow running makes you feel...skinny I guess.
