Yeah, but he got that Cotto/Margarito no clinch syndrome. Those fighters that dont learn the little tricks of clinching to take breaks in the middle rounds will be beaten even though they may be better than the other guy. You dead tired and you are swinging back wildly exchanging with the fresher fighter after you got rounds in the bank. Dumb dadumb dadumb
Unbelieveable... he was either WEIGHT DRAINED, or he didn't took this fight serious that he barely trained.
Even if I don't attribute it to this, being overrated is another very good possibility. But I personally don't think this is the real case although as with every fighter, he was overrated by some fans.
It doesn't matter, he looked energyless, no stamina, didn't use his boxing skills. he didn't look like his former self, if he fights this way against Gamboa he's going to get destroyed, Gamboa isn't Mtgawa, he throws 40 punches in less than a minute.
I think he didn't train properly, but this was a good learning experience for him. I am actually glad that this happened now and not against a more dangerous fighter.
Either this...or he was weight-drained, that's what bob arum says. totally agreed; this is a valuable learning experience for him, he should also take tyson/douglas as a tip that shows him that if you don't train properly you aren't going anywhere.
gamboa would have took out lopez, he had never seen 12 rds, used to blowing guys away, shot fighters but stil he is a good b oxer just slightly over rated imo! ye guys have been touting him as p4p future king, my bollix
