There is another.... Mr Cotto. The only reason why Juanma was not knocked down was because mattawa or whaterver his name is, can't throw straight punches. He misses more than half of his shots because his lack of technique. Any other journeyman with a little more technique would has finished him. I hope Juanma did not follow Cotto steps of lack of discipline and lack of condition. To the PBF haters, that are the kind of things that you have never seen in PBF career, as some Cotto lovers and Juanma lovers try to find faults in a man who never has show any kind of weakness.
jesus juanma looked sloppy during that fight. not a very good display of discipline. i'm starting to think that if he gets in there with an elite that can take his punches he's in trouble.
Wow, looks like the FOTY. JuanMama looked like he didnt even train for this fight but he showed his good chin again.
Tocallo, Let me tell you this... When I saw the 12th round from Juanma I inmediately felt that perhaps, just perhaps, he didn't took this fight as serious as he should. I actually remembered when they first announced it that he wasn't happy with the fights because he felt that Mitawa wasn't the same class or the type of figher he should have face. Perhaps he didn't train as hard as he should have. This will definately teach him a lesson plus I hope that he doesn't make the same mistake as Tito which is that Tito fell in love with his power. I hope that Juanma, doesn't make the same mistake. Regarding your comment about PBF. Definately, we have never seen him in a situation like this in which we can look at it in many different ways. 1. We can look at it as... If he hasn't been in a war up to now, why would that be? Can he sustain one? 2. How would PBF react if he is in this type of position? I personally think that we haven't seen him in this situation because he doesn't allow for that to happen, which is smart. On the other hand, I think that people hate him because some people feel that he hasn't prove himself against more natural WW. However, he is back and we hope that he can erase those comments that sorrounds him right now.
PBF already had a tough fight with JLC (who is about 100x better than Mtagwa) and he still gets hated on it 7 years later. JuanMa gets beat up way worse than Floyd and he gets praised for it. Why?
JuanMa's technique went to sheit when the fatigue set in. He stopped throwing straight punches in fact many punches were thrown from his waist, his jab was completely non existent, and his defense was just awful as he was getting tagged by Mtagwa's right hand at will. I think JuanMa is a terrific young talent with an incredible upside however this fight was a tell tell sign that he has stamina issues and I also question his effectiveness against big fighters who can stand up to his power.
