I like your answer. Gerry looks very confident though. The fight might be a little tougher than expected. He did go twelve rounds with former WBO De leon who Juanma KO'ed. Styles.
Thank God...Finally a thread on this fight. Frankly I'm shocked more people aren't more pumped about this fight. You'd think JML was fighting some bum of the month. Anyways, I like both these guys and Penalosa is I think Slick enough to make this a competitive fight. Don't think he can make it to the finish and probably can't get a KO but he's got enough savy to make it to the 6 or 7th round, while probably getting in a few decent shots along the way.
I don't really care who wins, but I really hope it's NOT another ****ing 1 round KO for Juanma, I want to see at least 5 rounds of good boxing...
REally where the hell have they been over the last few days... Cause all I've see for the last few days is Froch v Taylor this, Haye going to get KTFOed that, and Manny will KO Hatton in ___ round. Of course maybe I'm not as addicted to this place as others (nothing wrong with that) but you'll have to admit for a fight like this there is not that much hype here on ESB.
Yea, this fight should be getting alot more attention...I'll be watcghin' this rather than Taylor/Froch...but then again I'm PR so...
Will never happen. Penalosa is too experienced and takes a punch well. If Juanma finishes him at all, it will be late. I've seen Juanma fight lesser fighters than Penalosa and he couldn't finish them.
im really looking forward to this fight. i wont be shocked if it goes the full 12 but ill pick juanma by stoppage inside 10.
If JuanMa goes for the 1st round knockout, he might end up on the canvas himself. Penalosa is no Ponce De Leon, who and the much better Jhonny Gonzalez got paid for being overly aggressive. Gerry is an excellent counter-puncher with power. But I expect no KO in this fight with Penalosa going to the distance and losing a decision.
