Losing ONE POUND can never in a million years weaken an adult male.

Let me answer this, for someone like James Toney or even Arthur Abraham they would do fine losing 1 lb, BUT someone like Joshua Clottey or even Floyd Mayweather(who walks around at the 147-157 weight range) they would be weakened to death trying to boil extra weight off. So yes, losing 1 lbs can weaken an adult male. /thead

how do we know floyd walks around 147-157 when he isn't training? He doesn't even give his fight night weights out?

Can someone here tell me what they saw in Cotto during the fight which suggests he wasn't the Cotto that fought Margarito?

The guy trains 24/7. I'm not even joking, you will find him in the gym now, next week, at 2AM, doesn't matter if he has a fight scheduled or not.

According to you he's only weighing in at 148 at welterweight, yet in his last fight at SFW he weighed in at 145, so how is it such a huge risk weighing in an extra 3 pounds?

Surely 3lbs are nothing to a 10st adult?

Now that you have had time to reflect on the Pacquiao fight, where do you feel you went wrong?

Well, some details did not came out the way we wanted, but I take nothing away from Manny. We both made a great fight.

Was coming down to 145 tougher than you thought it would be since you hadn’t weighed 145 or less since 2006?

Popkins is trying to say cutting a pound when you're extremely dehydrated isn't dangerous but Pac eating and drinking around the clock to fight at 147 is dangerous? LMAO

what i think he was saying is that cotto made 146 for a fight that was contracted at a limit of 147 with clottey, suggesting that he didn't have a hard time of going under the limit.

then, if he did not have such a hard time going under the 147 limit from his previous fight, losing one more pound is nothing from the weight that he easily made.

that should be simple enough. :good

TS' point is cotto was doing well at 146 so going down to 145 will completely mean nothing against his conditioning.

cotto wasn't struggling to make weight.
