You know what a spade is? Yup its a spade. Rickys career was shrewdly managed for the greatest reward with the least amount of risk. This was apparent years and years ago. No ones denying his achievements but the facts remain his WBU reign and penchant for facing the easiest challenges at his weight doesnt hold him in good sted in comparison to his peers considering he was destroyed TWICE by 2 men who had stepped up through multiple weight divisions. Ricky couldnt even make a successful transition 7lbs north and all we've heard is a myriad of excuses.
But hey the dirty laundry ALWAYS comes out in the wash aye..

This "Hatton fought the best at 140" meme is really tiresome. If The Ring and the IBO actually enforced mandatories on their belts and Hatton had fought the same quality of opposition, he would have been stripped of both titles years ago.

Try telling Rickys hoards of fans that. How many times has Ricky even defended any one of his titles?

Best two fighters of this generation

RJJ and Sweet Pea the best two of the last generation. Loose term. But fairly easy to understand.

    Far out people

Hatton lost to THE BEST IN THE GAME TODAY and arguebly an all time great !

    That is no disgrace

Hatton was truly outclassed but that doesn't make him a fraud. It makes him not as good as Pac and PBF, he is clearly a notch below.

Hell the 5th to 10th best tennis players in the world get spanked by Federer and Nadal but it doesn't mean they have to retire ! they are a notch below but still damm good and are making a good living in the sport

If every boxer who fell short of being a all time great had to retire, we would have no boxers left
