Almost all black Americans like to play of it and it's annoying as ****. The majority of them had decent upbringings. Mayweather bangs on about it constantly but according to Floyd Sr his upbringing was actually pretty okay for the most part. Floyd Jr just uses it as justifications for his douche-bagginess.

Fury actually told Cunningham to **** off with all the ghetto monologues at the first press conference. So glad when he did, was funny as **** when he started telling everybody about how he's a true fighting man because of his traveller roots. Best line of the whole thing was "Everyman in Philadelphia couldn't beat me together!"

If I was Fury I would have been more frightened when Martin Rogan kicked off at that post-fight press conference, that was ****ing great.

Humblings come to those in need. Tyson is in need.

I don't actually see what the problem is here? Apart from the fact that is probably the worst PC set up ever. Mick lingering out the back, random people asking questions. Paris Fury getting involved. It's a wonder some random tramp didn't just walk in of the street and ask Tyson for any spare change.

"I got this cheeseburger man, I'll suck yo dick man!"

Brother Nas is the voice of reason as always. If a ghetto war broke out right there, Nas would just step in with a line or two, and peace be on to all.

:thumbsup If mean streets made fighters then all world champions would be from Bombay or Calcutta

Things are sometimes said in the heat of the moment. It's not right, but Fury himself has come out with poor comments in the past and he's not the classiest guy in boxing either. No need for the shove after round 1 for example. I'm one of Fury's biggest fans on this forum, but I have to be honest and call it how I see it. Some of his own comments have been embarrassing.

It's no worse than Fury constantly going on about his traveller roots and being a "fighting man". It's the underdog mentality. Someone like Hopkins was not supposed to make it. Growing up where he did, he was supposed to end up a failure, but he made it. His upbringing made him what he is.

Brother Nas is a good guy.

but its also true that the vast majority of african american world champions came from poor, inner city 'ghetto' neighbourhoods, so they cant exactly be breeding them weak.

I think Cunningham has a point it's a disgrace that Fury is so tall and poor Steve is only 6 3" and 208, guys of Tyson's height and weight should fight in a seperate division IDK call it Heavyweight or something like that

Its probably because thats the sport of choice for African American kids from poor inner city areas. Saying that mean streets make fighters is as wobbly an argument as saying that all good tennis players have to be middle class and from affluent areas.

maybe so, but a kid who comes from nothing is likelier to have much more hunger than a kid who grows up comfortable. It's just human nature. The "mean streets" will produce more failures than successes, but for some people that's what made them who they are. Someone like Pacquiao and Duran would say their fighting spirit and hunger was so strong because they experienced hell and they wanted to get out.

Got to hand it to fat mick. I didn't think it was possible to put on a shoddier ****ing presser than the one he put together in the back bar of the dog and duck pre-fight, the one where everyone was crouched around a table in the corner of the pub...

...Until he goes and pulls this ****ing shambles out of his fat ass. Few blokes perched on the press table whilst the crew take the ring apart off camera? Mick strolling about nonsulantly in the background like he's don conholio. What the actual **** mick?
