Easy. So would Sokolowski. The only reason to give Gallen any shot here is because of how **** Browne looked in his last fight against a domestic journeyman, the fact that this is a lower level HW fight and thus the "theater of the unexpected" adage need not apply. Browne is the smart and rational pick but I wouldn't be in the least bit shocked if Gallen upset him.

Agree with this, Browne looks in decent shape and fit enough for a 6 rounder with a novice like Gallen. If Hunt can hurt Gallen so can Browne and unlike Hunt Browne should have the gas tank and punch selection for the finish. I do think 6 rounds favours Gallen though if he just keeps pressure on Browne and avoids getting caught he will get the decision as he is a big draw so Browne needs to get the KO IMO and if he isn't completely shot to bits he should get it. No result would surprise me in this fight but I am going with Browne by KO his punching power on the heavy bag and mitts still looks decent and should be too much for Gallen to absorb.

In saying that I will be putting $100 on Gallen at $2.80

    Gotta take those odds Midster.

$4.50 on Gal for the decision seems nice and juicy.
Not out of the realm of possibility. And like the Hunt fight he will get benefit of the doubt on a close decision I would say.

Browne by KO is not a bad bet either at $2.60 but I might chuck $10 on Browne by KO in the third at $15 to cover myself LOL

    When is this fight prowler?
Browne is pretty shot, Gallen could win this by ko.

April 21st mate there is a rumour going around now that Browne was KO'd in sparring. Browne is denying it saying Gallen's team is spreading the rumour.

Id believe it mate, he has not looked great for a few years & Gallen is tough. There is a decent chance that they both could throw everything at each other in the first couple, then spend 5-6 leaning on each other doing F-all.

Browne was also KO'd in sparring vs Chisora before he fought Whyte.

This fight weirdly reminds me of Martin Rogan vs Matt Skelton. I think we'll see a similar outcome.

    What time we figure ringwalks?

I may be willing to get up depending how early.

    I got Browne by Decision
Gallen went life and death with Hunt who was pretty out of his prime and slow and Gallen's only really fought low level opposition. Brownes looked pretty bad in recent years and his chin has deteoried a lot to the point that I think this will go the distance and be a closer fight than it should be but I just have a hard time seeing Gallen win with how lacking his defense and foot speed looked against Hunt. But they're both at the point in their careers where they should be around the same level so i expect it to be a little back and forth.

" Doors open 5.30pm, with the undercard starting at 6pm. Gallen and Browne are expected to make their ring-walk at approximately 9.45pm."

AEST, presumably...which means 7:45am in the morning for me (on Eastern Standard Time in the US)

    That's plenty reasonable.

Maybe it is Gallen who has underestimated Browne. We could have another Danny Green Antonio Tarver like situation down under tonight.
