Thank you. And I like the honesty in your post. Since I wrote that post I have realized that McGee is the best available 168 pounder. So... I don't like the fight from a TV standpoint but I don't fault Bute. If Bute was not such a fine talent inside the ring people would be OK with this fight. But Bute looks capable of great things in that ring and I like a lot of others want to see if he is as great as it appears he may be.
Bute ain't ducking at all, man. He's looking through the looking glass at the moment, he was never invited.
I'm sure Showtime picked this opponent and Bute had little or nothing to do with it. But he is still a ***** for going so far in his career taking only safe fights
Yeah, because rematching the never-been-KD bull who exhausted him in their first fight was really safe. :think
his mandatory? but yeah...he should just sit on his hands fighting no-one until the super 6 is over & a good opponent is available...then we'd respect him. atsch
I guess this is why he wanted to give Andrade a rematch or sign a contract with Showtime because he's a ducker...
Herrschman recognized he avoided Bute at the initiation of Super 6. Bute`s team made the best path choice for him. He`ll meeet Super 6 wiiner next year.isn`t enough for you? Look at Mayweather.
The TS has repeatedly stated that Kelly Pavlik would have "no chance" against any top guy at 168. On this thread he claimed that Bute should fight "a great proven fighter like Kelly Pavlik." This guy is schizophrenic.
The Bute Team as well as Carl Moretti (V.P. from Top Rank) were interviewed on the radio in Montreal (CKAC am) a few days ago and this is what came out of the conversation : BIG offers were made to : Kessler = Not ready yet. Dirrell = Not ready yet. Sartison = At first seemed willing but then refused to fight. Stieglitz = Refused to fight for the 2nd time. Bika = Was willing to fight but SHOWTIME didn't seem too warm to that idea after seeing the ugly way his fight turned against Ward. Pavlik = Not available yet. Magee = A fighter that was proposed by SHOWTIME considering the other options didn't work. Carl Moretti thinks that Bute is the best Super Middleweight in the world...that's obviously quite debatable... SHOWTIME seems to wanna match Bute against either Kessler, Dirrell or one of the S6 semi final losers, in his 2nd fight of 2011, most likely in September.
good boxer, like the guy but hugely overrated here on ESB, don't understand how people rate him above Ward or Froch. nice style pleasing to watch but has a weak CV compared to the super 6 guys and did get KO'd cold, everyone seems to forget that.
He wasnt invited in the S6. Even then (not saying you are), but Bute's hater would have call him a ducker if he would have enter the super 6 without giving Andrade his rematch, am I not right? Saying this if Showtime decide to give him 6 million so that he can fight the winner of the super six in NY somtime in 2012. So all, in 2012 he will fight the best 168lbs outside of Canada. If he doesnt I will then agree with you and call him a joke and a ducker.
Pavlik is not fighting anyone in march, Abraham is not fighting anyone at 168 after Ward, Dirrell if he ever fight again is a possiblity as is Kessler. He sign with showtime for 3 fights, lets see what we will get and then make a case.
One thing is clear... Beatle dosen't have a fkn clue about what is going on at super-middleweight right now... but still feels compelled to post his ignorant bull**** all the same. lol Why do you think Bute just signed with Showtime you moron? To duck everybody? lol
