There's virtualy no way a Bute win puts him at the top of the 168 division. The winner of the Ward-Froch fight, which comes before Bute's next fight, is asbolutely the top guy in the division, barring some freakish outcome.

Everyone knows Johnson isn't an easy out but we also know he isn't capable of beating the elite guys anymore. He's 42 and 4-4 in his last 8 fights, he'll make for a decent fight with Bute but lose just like he would to all the elite guys at 168-Ward, Froch, Kessler, Bute, Dirrell, etc. I'd put Johnson on the same level as Bute's wins over Andrade and Bika-good wins but not the elite level.

I guess there's still the possibility that someone else gets the shot over Johnson. Right now it looks like Johnson is going to land the fight but Bute could get someone like Pirog who, at this moment, not as good of a win as Johnson.
