Kessler wanted so bad to fight Calzaghe at the time. Calzaghe, promoter and fans said the same things all over: "Calzaghe now only wants the big fights in US. He deserves the big money fights and Kessler isn't a big fight, Kessler isn't worthy the fight, Kessler isn't known in US". After a lot of boxing fans pressure - who involved a lot of danish fans, a lot of welsh fans and a lot of boxing fans all over the world - Palle gave an offer than Calzaghe and Warren couldn't decline, with out looking foolish - and then - and only then, one of the biggest fight was made. In my mind - Calzaghe would never have gone to Denmark to fight Kessler............. Will Bute............?
Yeah. Palle made a great offer. An offer that likely would have ruined him had Warren accepted. Instead Warren took the bait and gave a gigantic offer which turned Palle into a multi millionaire in dollars which in turn made Kessler seek another promotor. But that's a different story.
What a joke this guy is. He conveniently mentions his home Romania, but forgets to mention Denmark, Kessler's home. So I guess "anywhere" means "Romania or America" for Bute. May I remind everyone that 3 years ago, when Kessler's people tried to sign this fight, Bute's manager said that Lucian wasn't ready to face a great, experienced champion like Kessler. Bute was 28 at the time. Now he wants Kessler because Mikkel has had a long lay-off and had physical problems. This guy is a J O K E !!!!!
