Interesting thread-- How can you rate skill level against mediocre opponents? I've seen Bute's fight against Miranda, good display yet that is no where near the level of guys in Super 6.

WHY was Bute not participating in Super 6? Was it that he was not invited?- or his team did not want him in the competition?

I agree with the statement- betting on Bute against a Froch, Kessler, Ward at this point is like buying a lottery ticket. Yet Bute is no 1 on many p4p lists.

the only way we can have an idea of how good he is and how he might faire against future apponents is to compare the fights that he has in commen whit other fighters and see how he did compared to them, i think he has done better than some witch leads me to believe in his chances against top ranked fighters, right now we have hatters that bash on him and huggers who praise him, comparing how he did against andrade vs how kessler did against the same fighter for example is the best way to judge where he is at.

time will tell, we just need to wait a little longer, super 6 is almost over, the flood gate are going to open soon and we will see who floats or sinks.

Btw do you think that he did better against Andrade than Kessler did?

Not trying to debate with an idiot, but for the record, I speak very favorably of Pavlik, Jirov, and even Froch, as well as other non-colored fighters who earned their Kudos by stepping up and fighting the best on a level playing ground. :yep

well they both won their fights, the fact is kessler gave everything he had and could not put him down as for bute he put him down in the fourth round, in that basis i do believe he did better. (dont mention the first fight he was sick with low red blood cells (well documented; doctors told him not to fight), judge him for the second fight,

Bute will start to add some names on his resume once he fights Pavlik.

For about everyone, his best win was Andrade, until Ward fought Bika, now a lot think it's Bika. I think Bika and Andrade are both good wins.

very good fighter, but needs to beat an elite fighter (Ward, Froch, Paschal, Kessler) to be considered P4P in my book.

Well I think that it is only fair to judge him on both fights and one must also account for the fact that Andrade was undefeated going into the Kessler fight. Personally I think that Kessler did better because he only needed one fight and he took Andrade out in style. 3x120-108 is impressive and it wasn't even hometown cooking Andrade litterally didn't win a single round.
