sparring between Bute and Johnson happened in close quarters; Bute needed back then to handle better Andrade's style; this fight was totally different
Bute preferred to atack late in rounds (quite common for him) hopping for a stoppage; it didn't work , glen deffended very well his body but in the same time his all out offensive was total annihilated; late round Bute stood in front of Johnson looking for opennings but in the end Glen's experience and Lucian's reluctance led to the unanimous decision

Don't know for sure? Of course not, but we don't know for sure how Froch, Kessler, Ward, Dirrell would do against Bute or against some of the others either.

    Here's a guess:

He'd beat Kessler and Froch, probably Ward and Dirrell too.

    pressure?
meanning Ward , Froch , Kessler are pressuring more then the likes of Andrade or Johnson?
"more talented fighters" don't use pressure, they use skill

Not more pressure, but a more talented pressure, throwing more combinations, better footwork, trying to cut of the ring.....better boxers simply.

Anyway hopefully we will see in 2012......

i wonder how come everybody fighting bute looks like ****?it had been said previous to this fight that bute fought only tomato cans and the road warrior will be the first live body he will face and he will give him war.now he is old and untalented.ok,i can live with that, but what happens when bute will face ward or froch and make them look like clowns?will they be turn into bums over night too?

You're an idiot. He was offered the chance to fight Kessler in 2008 or 2009 and his trainer said "I don't think Lucian is ready to fight a proven champion like Kessler."

Bute will never convince anyone he is a real champ, even if he does beat the war-torn survivors of the Super Six. Lucian is 31 years old and he has yet to fight a prime championship-level opponent.

If Johnson had any chance of winning, he should had put on max pressure from round 1. Instead he fought at distance, and lost clearly as we all expected.

I hoped for a Johnson putting on a Andrade 1 performance. Johnson has heavier hands, and i expected and would have loved to see Bute under that kind of pressure. Sadly we didn't see that fight yesterday. Signing off.

Jonhson thought Bute would fade like he did agains't Andrade 1 , but Bute stiil had the gas tank full at the end . Jonhson was really cautious and was only looking to block the uppercut to the body , i never see Jonhson respect another boxer strenght like he did yesterday. He was all-in agains't Froch and not agains't Bute that's say a lot.

Even if it wasn't Bute best performance he beat the road warrior easely then most of GJ opponents. I had it 118-112

As long as you nut-huggers continue to defend Bute's cherry-picking, we realists will be here to keep you from going to the mental hospital.

nah... obviously they come from the same trailer park of Moronville.
I'm happy with the fight last night. But still wondering... After the Froch fight I was expecting more from Johnson. Or maybe Bute is really up there at the top of the SMW. Looking foward to december 17th.
