Round 3 Perez is swinging his right arm by his side, advancing steadily on Takam but not rushing in. Overhand left leads by Perez. Takam drops back and waves his left glove out in the air, then drops his upper body to his right, ducking almost past the waist as he dives out of the pocket away from Perez lifting an up-jab. Perez is either butted or thumbed over the right eye and it opens a long gash on the brow. Takam acknowledges that he accidentally fouled Perez and walks over to pat him on the back as the ref comes over to investigate why Perez is turning away clutching his eye. Time in. Cut looks bad. Perez tosses a left hand lead coming forward, then flips up a few right jabs from the hip. Takam leans back with his legs spread wide. 10-9 Perez 30-27 Perez
i feel very bad for perez....takam was very nice and good sortsman about it, he could have continued hitting, but instead checked to see if his oponent was ok....
Takam ain't much of a fighter, but he's a class act. Lots of ****s in the sport would've taken a cheap shot under the auspices of "Protect Yourself At All Times".
