It suggested nothing, it stated emphatically as undiluted fact that he lost clearly to a mediocre kickboxing reject. :yep
to be fair the mago fight was the only perez fight i had seen before this...and i expected perez to fight the same, but he is fighting like he is timid, indecisive, like he has lost confidence
The Mago fight didn't change him, Perez has fought like this a lot. He tends to get lazy in a lot of fights.
This is a shockingly bad fight. Probably the worst fight on HBO i've seen in years. To think HBO opened 2013 with Provodnikov vs Bradley.
this is what takam needed to do from the start. not move and push perez back. your not gonna outbox perez.
Round 6 Perez is putting right jabs up onto Takam's forehead and then leaning in, heaving with both arms on Takam's breadbasket. Overhand rights by Takam. Slugging in the pocket, they both step forward and collide frequently. Double left hook by Takam. Perez is caught taking a step and nearly loses balance. Right hand by Takam. Perez works off the lean-in, pushing off and throwing right hooks into Takam's muscular upper arms, skidding away harmlessly. Uppercut combo by Takam. Perez slightly hurt, first to back down, looking dazed. Bell. 10-9 Takam 59-56 Perez
