Round 10 Perez is knocked across the ring by a 1-2 over the eyes. Perez blinks as he sags into the ropes and nearly falls, gathering himself in time to meet Takam's charge in and cling to him as Takam continues clubbing at him. Perez wrestles Takam's arms off his head and upper back and throws wide sloppy right hooks and clapping lefts up top. Takam fires a jab past Perez's face and then chops with a flush right hand. Takam wrenches his gloves free as Perez tries pushing them down by his groin. Looping head shots by Takam at point blank. Perez is trying to clinch. Hooking flurry on the body by Perez, mostly blocked on the arms. 1-2 and left hook by Takam as Perez pumps in a light straight left flopping in on him. Takam pulls the chair out from Perez, backing up to let him nearly face-plant and tossing a combo on the top of his head. 10-9 Takam 95-95
What is it with Cuban heavyweights and laziness...Gomez, Solis and now Perez. I think we're looking at a draw or a Takam win.
Kellerman is right, tale of two fights. Perez vs. Takam I was a boring shutout, 50-45 to Perez. Perez vs. Takam II was an action-packed exposure, also a shutout, 50-45 to Takam.
