Gavin would school him easily . Collazo isn't even a top 40 welterweight. He's a completely shot out of retirement alcoholic who even lost to the bum Freddy Hernandez before Khan cherry picked him and tried to makeout it was a decent win :rofl :rofl Look at Freddy Hernandez's record, he's lost 7 out of his last 8 fights his only win being over Collazo who he even dropped. Collazo is a complete joke now.. it's embarassing that your beloved Khan even chose to fight him.
Collazo is an odd one. He could have given Khan problems but seemed to think all he had to do was walk Khan down with 0 work rate and his gloves by his side. Khan is chinny but he's fast as sin and gave Collazo a beating in a fight that was supposed to be close. V Gavin tho Collazo would probably be too strong and he has decent pop even if not a noted KO puncher. The switched on Collazo that fought Ortiz would beat Gavin handily. Gavin needs to get Skeete out the way then build back towards Euro level again and see If he can add something extra to his game. I saw a tweet about sparing fighters better/similar style to what you were facing and though that would be blindingly obvious but maybe the some guys don't pay to much attention to who they face in training
lol only complete idiots who didn't know **** about boxing thought Collazo was gonna give Khan a very good fight. It was a blatant stereotype CHERRYPICK. Collazo was never a puncher and is completely shot to pieces ...was becoming a journeyman till he had some win over Ortiz ( only fools were impressed by a win over the chinny past it never was anything Ortiz) Gavin would win every minute of every round against him.
This is the same Gavin who was dropped by a light punching euro level fighter. Collazo beats the blue **** out of him for about 5 rounds.
Todays Collazzo would be a fair pick for Gavin IF he gets past Bradley. Not a foregone conclusion and one Ive said elsewhere I hope Skeete wins. But assuming he did beat him,I would see a points win for Gavin in a Collazzo bout. Its one Id like to take place in Collazzos backyard, just for a change for Frankie. Say on the undercard of a big New York bill. Must add that I can't really see it. But although Ive nothing against Gavin,I do think the Collazzo that fought Hatton would do to Frank what his last 2 opponents didn't and keep him on the floor.
^ Gavin just isn't going to make that leap onto world class territory, is he? You know, top 10/5 spot in all of the governing bodies rankings?
