Ortiz to be winning on points, but Joyce to KO in later rounds. Same result as Wilder fights.

You forgot Hrgovic they tried to make that for Hrgovic's eliminator according to Hearn, so that's another fight Ortiz has avoided.

Michael Hunter definitely did, not sure if Ortiz did though.

Ortiz's last decent payday before he collects his pension.

Well Ortiz hasn't come out and denied it.

When Joyce said Ortiz wanted no smoke and insinuated Ortiz ducked him without actually clearly saying it, Ortiz responded saying offers were not made and is calling Joyce out.

But why didn't he do the same when Hearn accused him of ducking the fight? It was well reported, more so than the Joyce story and he could of easily just said they didn't offer enough which would probably be true?

I don't always believe when a fighter or promoter says another fighter is ducking like Whyte's stories of offers and ducks by Ortiz. But when the accused fighter says nothing then I believe their maybe some truth to it because if they deny it and it's a lie then they will get found out but when it's a lie they speak up because they know there is no way they can be exposed as lying.

I don't know, maybe Ortiz is just waiting for the right pay day and Hrgovic is not a big name in boxing. His best win is Molina.

Joyce is a much bigger name. He's fought Usyk, Dubois, Takam and is officially a mandatory. Hrgovic isn't a mandatory, he's up for an eliminator.

If Ortiz did duck him, at his age this would be his VERY last chance, and perhaps he saw Hrgovic is too much of a higher risk vs a low reward as I'd doubt he'd get as much vs Hrgovic for an eliminator than against Joyce who is already a big name and a mandatory.

With Joyce it's high risk, high reward. And also Joyce is less aggressive and this plays into Ortiz' hands.

For Hunter, he's younger so has less excuse, he could lose vs Hrgovic, and still make a comeback.

When I said rest of the division I meant the top 5 or 6 of tge division. Not every single heavyweight in the world.

Who is Hrgovic to even 'duck'. How does that fight make any sense for Ortiz at this stage.

How many fights does Hrgovic even have... 13? No meaningful wins at all. Does Ortiz even know who he is? Genuine question.

I dont even count that as a duck. Ortiz has a closing (likely already closed) window to challenge the top guys in the division in meaningful fights. Fighting a guy nobody knows, whose had a dozen fights, and does literally nothing for him doesnt make sense at all and isnt a duck to me just because this guy wants to fight Ortiz.

The problem with Ortiz is he tends to communicate using methods he grew up with. He’s been calling people out for years now it’s just nobody is available to read out the telegraphs.

Good fight but not gonna pay for Tanks card.

Ortiz would do some good early rounds, but Joyce is too strong to him
