We all saw the first glimpse of mortality last night in Jon Jones. He cannot deal with someone rushing forward or a good counter puncher... Someone with power, a good offensive game, and TDD will defeat Jones. Someone like ehhhhh, Dan Henderson?

No lol go watch the Jake Shields v Hendo fight, Shogun rounds 4 & 5, Anderson round 2, ect ect All fights where Dan has been put on his back and beaten up

Hendo has a punchers chance, that's it

There's a reason why Mousasi isn't in the UfC.

Mousasi is definately the better striker, however, his TDD is horrible.

I agree with stoo hendo is made for jones all he has is a punchers chance, what bones found difficult was machidas movement and fast counter strikes, hendo cant do that!

I said a long time ago Jones hands are the least developed part of his game. I saw it when he face O'Brien. I think he owuld be wise to work on pure boxing - footwork, defence and jab. These things would really help him. This was an occassion where I felt a more standard, fundamental stand up approach would help as Lyoto could trump him for gauging distance so leaping left hooks and fancy kicks were not really doing the job.

It would be interesting to see if Jones can put Hendo on his back. He seems very strong at this weight. He blew his conditioning out in the Shogun fight by trying to finish and was lucky to make it to the final bell.

Dan Henderson is finished , the mans got no cardio , Jon Jones would absolutely demolish him

Machida is a better striker than Jones , hence the reason he had success on the feet , Jones is a better all round mixed martial artist than Machida hence Jones Sub's Machida 2 standing guillotine :deal

Yeah Henderson's takedown defense is not all that - very strong in the clinch but really can't defend against the double leg. I'd say Machida is harder to takedown than Dan - never seen someone dump Lyoto on his ass like that. Incredible.

    Yes Machida showed the gameplan.

Get your neck taken and get choked out.

    I disagree.

First off... nobody else has Machida's awkward style, sense of distance, and elusive counterpunching ability. Second... even with that, Machida was taken down, got his head split open, was dropped on his feet, and then was choked out cold. ALSO, Machida lunging in for that big left was exactly what got him caught as Jones launched his left at the same time and dropped Machida.

Sorry, but I don't see too many fighters trying to use that gameplan.
