Macklin is fighting Francis Cheka, he did have the chance to take on Willie Gibbs instead of Andy Lee but instead decided to go back with Warren so he could fight in Birmingham more often. He is still managed by Brian Peters and will occasionally fight in Ireland but should mainly fight in Birmingham. He'll be the main undercard fight on the Kell Brook v Kevin McIntyre card and it's planned to have him fight once more after that before the year is out. I hope the two following opponents are a step up from Francis Cheka and I hope he isn't shoved down the WBU route.
Yori Boy Campas was an opponent under Brian Peters promotions though(Tomás Rohan as matchmaker) and Gibbs would of been the next opponent under that promotional company. But that's not the way Frank Warren works so a nice easy guaranteed win with 0 risk is needed.
