8-4 is fair imo.A lot of close rds that most on here I imagine gave to Macklin.

Sturm landed the much better shots.

A quick google search turned up this (from an article in Bild):

So Schulz, who was commentating for Sat 1, had Mackin by 3.

According to Bild - whose headline reads "Geschminkt nach Dusel-Sieg": made up after fluke win - Sturm admitted after the fight that he'd never had gotten the decision in Ireland.

And here's a screenshot of the voting on the German broadcasters website taken last night (taken from a German forum):

That's what 3 minutes on Google turned up: confirmation that it wasn't only the Irish who think Macklin deserved the win. Big surprise there.

I thought Macklin won it by at least 2 rounds.Sturm did land some good shots late in the fight but it was not enough to pull out the win.He did not look comfortable untill the 10th round.

Touching foreheads and hitting glove doesn’t win you a fight.

    Sturm did the more damage.

You could send him to happy land with one punch in every round and win 12-0.
