Jesus he doesn't look like the same guy, he's lost so much mass. Hope things get better for him. He proved himself to be such a warrior against Perez maybe too much heart for his own good, very sad.

A very distressing clip. Barely recognizable. Extremely sad indeed.

As Bernard Hopkins always tells boxers, This is a dangerous sport.
The key to success in the ring is, to hit and not be hit, no matter how boring people say you are.

Best wishes to Magomed in making a speedy recovery.

At least he is a live and not a vegetable.

Hope he has somewhat of a normal life.

That's horrible. Those are the type of things they don't want to show you. Boxing is brutal sport. I hope the man can someday get back to a normal life.

Wow. Just ****ing wow. At least he's improving one day at a time.

I hope everyone fortunate enough to have funds to spare donated a little something to him and his family. I'm sure every bit helps. Sucks to see any boxer and his family going through this.

    Thanks for posting the update.

Boxing has given me a few bad experiences and this goes on the list. he obviously has brain damage affecting his motor skills but he has come a long way in his recovery. perez also has looked like **** ever since this fight he wont recover either.

these two guys were throwing death blows from the beginning to the end of this fight. I will say it was not blatantly obvious the fight should be stopped so cant blame the ref. but people in the corner that see a fighter every day will immediately know. So I blame his corner.

That's put me on a downer for the rest of the night :-(

Hope he recovers soon, and hope Boxing doesn't turn it's back on him and his family.

Boxing needs organization like War veterans where they all have universal health/life insurance to cover worst case scenarios like this one.
Networks & promoters make more than enough money to put a small percentage aside to cover every professional boxer in the sport so if the worst happens the boxer's health care and his/her family's living expense can be met.
Obviously Magomed's care and rehabilitation is going to cost a lot and his family is going to suffer tremendously financially.

If you want to boycott boxing for any reason, well this is the one.
