Will K2 pay a dime towards Magomed Abdusalamov medical bills?

They promoted the show and made money from this man.

They insured him for 7500 dollars only.

His expenses are 51k per month.

They have in the past put into contracts that they wont help boxers medicals on their shows, you can google that.

    Thoughts on this ?

They have released no statements on the man that is injured for life on the card that they promoted.

Luckliy now a Russian prmoter has stepped up to help Magomed Abdusalamov

otherwise he would be thrown in the garbage.

Medical bills are no joke in America.

Shame on the people who promoted that sho - K2 and the TV company HBO.

they made money off this man , paid him peanuts and left him for dead when the worst happened.

So you don't you know then. This isn't the time to crowbar in your agenda.

I do know , his family had no money until now from the russians.

I also know that K2 put it in contract that they wont cover fighters for medicals in Europe !!

Where its a fraction of the costs.

Do you think his family are lying and they received money from K2 before ?
So yes , I know, they did support him as he was insured for 7500 dollars.

I also know that his paycheck for the fight was less than for winning prizefighter.

This man is ruined for life- make no mistakes he will probably never walk or talk ever again, maybe not even see.

Now the russians have doen a good turn but eventually he will be released and need life long care, I do HOPE that the promoter takes their responisibilty and pays him some millions and the NYSAC and he HBO tv need to chip in too, with real money.

I have respect for de la hoya. when Levander died on his card he gave the family a cheque for a million bucks, These big promoters the Klits (surley they can relate) and Bonte have fortunes even away from their promoting gigs...

    HELP this mans family :thumbsup

You really don't see what a classless **** you are for crowbarring in your agenda do you? The fact that not once have you mentioned Sampson Lewkowicz who's actual job is to look out for the interests of Abdulsalmov is quite telling.

I didn't make the move, but whichever mod did made the right call. The matter of whether K2 pays his medical expenses is technically off-topic and the sort of thing usually deleted outright by The Professor.

So merging it with the larger Magomed thread was actually preferable unless you would've rather seen all trace of your OP deleted.

klits promoted that show and made the most money this is a fact. They paid both fighters very very poorly and left out medical insurance- thsi is part of their job.

Now a man is almost dead and they bear no burden, that is disgusting.

They have the ability to help this man, yet they will do nothing. Nothing.

Perhaps you are a fan boy of K2 and thats why you dont dare suggest they help the man ?

Is this something new ? Can money not be talked in the forum anymore ? Does this apply to purses ,ppvs and everything else or just when discussing this mans need for money for medical care ?

This is a boxer most recently badly injured in the ring.

I wonder if Mike Perez's boxing career is over too now, after having to live with this.

Hopefully not, he's an amazing prospect in a **** division.

Mike is probably very happy that Mago is recovering, and not 6ft deep.

Here's to Mago again, hope for the best of recoveries. :cheers

Yes and there was a topic already on him and his situation. A needlessly separate topic vilifying specific parties in regards to his situation pushes the bounds of 'boxing related'. Sort of like how the Manny Pacquiao tax issues didn't require dozens of threads.
