Just stop and think for a minute guys. What excruciating pain Mago must have suffered every time Perez fists slammed into his face. For someone to say they never saw anything wrong with Mago from ringside that is ludicrous. How his corner let him keep going out there & taking that pain is beyond me. My prayers are for Mago to make a complete recovery & also for Perez who must be feeling bad about it although it was in no way his fault Hurry up and get well Mago you are a true warrior
**** its realy true terrible i wish him the best Link http://www.ran.de/boxen/news/boxen-abdusalamov-im-koma-109459
I wish his corner would have thrown in the towel sooner, or ref stoppage. It was a terrible pummeling, I am preying for him.
mago has so much heart. and stevens corner didnt stop the fight . the ref came to corner and told the corner i am going to stop the fite an they just nodded there head ok.
The only round that I could have seen it being stopped was in the 10th. He was still landing punches and trying to win, even up to the final bell. I'm surprised there's so many people up in arms about this. Maybe Chavez's corner should have thrown in the towel vs Taylor. Or Foreman should have quit against Moorer. This is boxing people. It's not tennis. That being said, let's hope Mago makes a full recovery and never steps into the ring again, in a competitive sense at least
praying for the dude. this is an unforunate example of what can happen when any fighter steps foot into the squared ring. it's also a reason why every fighter deserves respect. i cringe and try to hold back from slapping the dog **** out of someone who blatantly talks **** and calls fighters cowards or quitters. u wouldn't last a day in the world of an average fighter.
I pray for him as well. These armchair doctors and Ref.s do get to me as well; there's an innumerable number of past fights where the swelling could have indicated broken bones but turned out to just be swelling....this is boxing
it was easy to see, even in the early rounds, there was something wrong beyond just absorbing a lot of shots. it`s not like it was a title fight. the fighters have to be protected from themselves. most boxers` balls are too big for their own good. I know boxing`s appeal extends directly from the violence within it, but I don`t want to watch people being beaten to death in the ring.
