Even better ... if Fury beats Usyk in February ... Tyson will likely vacate all the belts except the WBC ... so Charr could be elevated to FULL WBA champion by the time the bell rings. Joshua would sign to fight Charr (or Pulev) so fast it would make Charles Martin's head spin.
This fight literally would be NO WORSE if you swapped either guy for decades-long WBA mandatory holdout Fres Oquendo. Right now, in 2024.
I wonder how mark de mori would do against either of these two? Seeing as he just lost to the latest unbeatable monster heavyweight.
He was a decent fighter maybe 10 years ago. But, he was never anything special, even in his prime. Today, he doesn't belong in the top 20 active heavyweights. Saddest thing of all is that he might be better than Charr (who has never been good).
He wasn't anything special but he was a solid top 10 fighter for a while. He is still better than Charr I'm sure, he will win a wide UD mostly using his jab.
Call me a masochist, but I like this fight. Charr needs to do something, he’s been treading water too long - and Pulev is better than he gets credit for. I think stylistically it could be a well matched fight, maybe not exciting, but well matched. Pulev should win, unless he’s completely shot.
I hope Pulev batters him, really puts a Vitali/Briggs type beat down on him so Charr finally retires. He's been this bad smell hanging around the WBA belt for years that needs to be gotten rid of. But like I said he probably pulls out with an injury and just lingers around for years haunting the WBA regular belt like some bad spirit.
Man, the guys in the front row seats will be able to hear these two actually creaking as they hobble across the ring to each other.
