    Shocking mismatch. Canelo will destroy him. Which I wouldn't really mind seeing.. :think. Wouldn't mind Maidana going away for a little while, at least at the highest level. Limited, one dimensional fighter with massively overrated power.

    I don't think Maidana cares anymore, he is good at 140 and that division seems a bit easier with Bradley gone, Khan going soon etc but he seems to only be interested in the fights that give him the most money.

    If he stayed at 140 i would give him a good chance t0 pick up a title.

    I guess the thinking is that why lose to Thurman for 300k when you can get starched for at least double that.

    I'll be pulling for Maidana but this is not going to end well for him.

    How much do these two usually weigh on fight night?


    Maidana doesn't strike me as someone that rehydrates to much over 150lbs at 140


    Presume Canelo gets comfortably above 160

    I guess you would have preferred guys like Gatti and Ward to have gone away, too?

    Just because a person has limited abilities, it doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to be at the highest level. Especially when he's got other qualities (heart and mentality) to make up for whatever's missing, and has used those qualities to prove he does belong at the highest level.
