Al Haymon set Maidana up with Thurman. Thurman is 154, that's where all his fights have been. His boxrec record shows he has been dropped by Robertson. But, yes, I agree Maidana pussied out - he shouldn't need a tune up. Maidana at best is a gatekeeper... it's embaressing that Khan keeps using his name when taunted about his career.

Maidana's so, so overrated, especially on this forum. 'He's a beast! He's a warrior!' No, he's a lumbering, one dimensional slugger with vastly overrated power who can take a punch. Maybe he's starting to realise that himself.
He has power but his chin is not tha great. Ortiz chopped him down a few times and even old Morales had him hurt. Oh and Alexander almost took him out.

Khan is a ****ing idiot ! A shot like that and he didnt try to do it again. He ended the fights by just wailing his arms in Maidanas face. Roach should have slapped Khan and told him to go back to the body. Before the fight i was pretty sure that Khan would stop him in 7 or so rounds but nope, Khan has no boxing IQ.
