When Maidana is in close, he needs to feint more with power shots and get a reaction and then throw a different punch that will score or possibly set up a two punch combo. He also needs to be more patient with his punch selection. He rushed too much when he was in close in the first fight.

Maidana has no chance to beat Mayweather Jr. No matter what.

    New to boxing?

Read my post properly, dumbass. Garcia can't change Maidana for ONE fight in ONE training camp. Maidana will go in fighting the same way he did in the first fight. Now regarding the improvements Garcia added to Maidana's fighting style, those improvements came after several fights. Maidana hired Garcia in 2012, right after he lost to Alexander. No trainer can change any fighter completely after one training camp. It takes years and several fights to eventually see the fighter successfully adapt to and apply these changes.

There, now you got yourself free education when it comes to the training aspect of Boxing.

    Dear Keyboard Warrior:

"At this stage, expect still to see some minor adjustments". That is what my post stated. So, it is rather you who needs to learn to read posts properly.

Where is is stated that Garcia would change Maidana completely?

Maidana gave Floyd such a tough fight, that minor adjustments could be the difference in a rematch.

    Have a good day :rasta

When he rushes in -- if you dont nail him coming in, tie him up and push off and start again --- control your distance, use you jab from the outside, set up big shots, and dont stay there for the receipt. Angles will work.

Maidana has no gameplan. That's his gameplan. He will slug around like a drunken sailor, get some reaction from a crown who can't discern a punch on the shoulder from a punch on the chin.

He'll end up getting outboxed in a 12 round snoozefest, once again. Totally unnecessary rematch.

Manny uses is legs and much more lateral movement. So it is not really an issue.

With age, Floyd has become more stationary.
