Khan has showed plenty of promise yes - but shamelessly ducking your leading contenders at domestic level whilst bleating on about being ready for a title shot is bound to make you look daft. Getting decked and receiving a gift off the referee against Willie Limond, and hitting the deck from a cuffing punch from Gomez doesn't help. God knows what would have happened had it been a flush shot thrown from a solid base.
No disrespect but perhaps you should take a look at some of your own posts in Khan threads before you start judging mine for so called arrogance - No need to get personal. There is no point me trying to debate or discuss my reasons (contrary to what you suggest I do have valid ones) for being critical of Khan if you can't be civil. Whats more, for someone who has openly admitted you are pro Khan I'm astonished you voted you wanted to see him get KTFO badly against Gomez. That to me seems a little hypocritical. Just for the record I've never wished that on any boxer, including Khan.
dont be foolish elle most of that stuff was said months back iv frequently expressed my doubts about khan, u seem to have a selective memory and u also seem to have alot of time on your hands may be you can take another trip down esb memory lane and dig some more stuff out those comments were all in wake of the heavy banter khan was reciving for fighting the ''dannish pastry'' who u enjoyed making fun of remember that? when the dane pulled out and st claire was annoused as the next opponent i just expressed my disgust at how people were spinning the whole issue about khan not fighting quality opponents. Admittedly the comments could have been less provokative but who cares. but the real issue here is that your a hardcore khan hater most of the posts are either related to what khan said or did outside the ring or his flaws inside the ring.You dont provide a fair analysis as your position is skewed due to your love for another lightweight

Foolish? Its not me sitting behind my keyboard badly hoping to see a fellow poster get KTFO! The Gomez fight wasn't months back. If anyone has a selective memory it appears to be you as you seem to have conveniently glossed over the fact it was you and not me that wanted Khan to get KTFO in his last fight. Didn't take long to do a quick search and quote a couple of your posts to illustrate my point. Perhaps you should take your own trip - that way you may be less likely to contradict yourself where Khan is concerned. Think you referred to him being a pastry as well - when you were telling another poster how they should STFU. Point is even if I indulge in some banter on the board I do try to give valid reasons for being critical. With Kristjansen I was particularly disappointed when he was announced as Khan's opponent first time around as, if my memory serves me right, this came on the back of Khan calling out and discrediting Thaxton. Wasn't convinced Khan v Kristjansen was worthy of being a WBO eliminator and also wasn't particularly impressed by Kristjansen's record at the time - one fight in last 16 months, last fight 6 round split decision win, prior to that drew with ageing Stefano Zoff, 3 draws on record (?), approx 17 out of 23 fights six rounders, only one TKO in last 13 fights, etc. Thought you said yourself it was a joke fight, why this guy, they could have made Thaxton fight the eliminator for the WBO.... After the actual fight I did comment that Kristjansen performed better than I expected on the night. When St Clair was announced I think my main criticism was the advantage Khan would have in weight and height. I did say, however, that St Clair was a better opponent than Kristjansen and that what I liked about the match up was that we would probably see Khan get more rounds under his belt as St Clair seemed quite durable, etc. I think its a shame if you don't care. I feel some of your more provocative comments don't reflect that well on you and it hardly encourages good debate. With all due respect its you that seems to have an issue. You are the one getting all defensive about Khan and going on the attack. You are quick to judge others and label them but fact is it wasn't me that wanted to see Khan get KTFO badly against Gomez. That was YOU. If you don't feel I provide fair analysis there is a simple solution if you feel that strongly - challenge it and argue your case if/when those instances arise. Thats what the forum is all about. Contrary to what you think, how I rate other Lightweights does not cloud my judgement where Khan is concerned. To be honest I feel its you that seems incapable at times of being objective about some of our other young prospects and shows in some of your more dismissive posts.
