ive never heard that bit in bold before. It wasnt a catchweight though it was at Welterweight in the middle of the 2s actual weight classes
atschPater, read what I wrote. Technically it wasn't a catchweight- you are correct. In practice it was as good as a catchweight. Don't turn the Brit forum- the place of logical debate- into the general, Paterterrapin, or I will have to kill you:twisted:.
STFU:good. Do you see what I mean, though- it's as good as a catchweight. I am getting tired of writing the word 'technically'. EDIT: Also^^^ as I said above, that is an often overlooked fact about ODLH having to weigh in within 147 on the night of the fight. Check his fightnight weight- it was stipulated in the fight contract.
Which bit? The Paterterrapin is trying to make a mockery of the forum. Na, he knows it's just a bit of banter.
My best pick as well, won £500 couldn't believe all the people saying Pavlik would beat/stop Hopkins. I had Cotto to stop Marg in the 11th (got the round right at least) but I bottled a bet on Mosley to stop Margarito even though I expected Shane to win wide on points.
I left Hopkins vs Pavlik alone because I was completely unsure as to whether he would win on points or by stoppage. Additionally you can never be sure when it's the old guy backing up after a 'loss' (even though I thought Hopkins beat Calzaghe) vs the young unbeaten guy, in terms of what the judges would do if the fight was anything like close. I simply don't rate Pavlik all that highly, the Yankeedoodles were getting seriously carried away regarding a slow-ish, limited, slugger.
