I am a huge Malignaggi fan but feel that he is talking complete and utter bollocks this time.

McGirt shouldn't have embarrassed him by calling it off when he wasn't getting extremely hurt, just out-boxed, but he froze big time on the night and no trainer can be held responsible for that.

He needs to take a look at the video and see that everything that went wrong against Hatton from the 2nd round on was HIS fault.

He has, in my opinion, the talent to out-box Hatton and if he had fought excatly the same fight as he did against Cotto we'd be talking about a Malignaggi vs Pacquiao fight or at least a re-match. But at the end of the day only one man can be blamed for what happend in November and he's the one talking crap...

lets be honest here, magic man is never going to have the power to trouble anyone (apart from maybe khan) a bit like calzaghe, the difference between the two is calzaghe makes sure he earns the respect of his opponent before doing his pitter patter punches and doesnt give two hoots about his hands until they start to hurt, magic man seems afraid to throw his right hand out of fear of a break and lay down on his punches, the guy is definatly slick and talented enough to win a world title again and deserves respect for winning a title with no power, simply you cant box one handed

 

My first inclination was to make a Buddy McGirt joke into this...but **** it if Paulie isn't doing EVERYTHING to keep himself somewhat relevant in the boxing world.

First, Paulie makes a comeback in an 8 round fight - now he's placing blame for his loss on McGuirt. Doesn't look too good for Malignaggi. He better change his attitude quick or else he'll need to get used to journeyman status.

Here's a tip for Paulie - how about learning to bring your jab back to your chin instead of your waist and maybe you won't get countered to death with a right hand all night.

Paul, and members of the chin checkers, all have issue with letting the Alligator mouths over run their humming bird asses. These fighter alway underestimate their opponents, and this mistake almost always comes back and bites these guys in the ass. The perfect example of this is, Gary stark Jr who got KTFO because he totally underestimated his opponent no surprise that he and paul are Gary are friends. These guys have some serious mental issues.
