This would be a good fight. I had it a draw the first time and it was a very close fight and could have gone to either fight IMO.

I seem to remember that it was Diaz who was cut and bleeding most of the fight...Paulie was ineffective? hmm...

Yeah, everybody knows Paulie won; a draw would have been a stretch, Paulie 7-5 would have been okay, but on neutral grounds he would have won 8-4. He doesn't need a rematch with Diaz cause his stock went up after the fight and Diaz's went down. I'd like to see Paulie do the two-step around Urango next, an easy fight for him if he keeps up his dance moves for the full 12 rounds, and one which will give him his IBF title back. By the way Urango is hot off a TKO victory right now and it could be good money for both fighters.

As long as its not in Texas again, Paulie will win. But from what I've heard, Diaz refuses to fight Paulie outside of Texas (because he knows that he got the home town decision) and Paulie wants the rematch in NY or NJ. So I doubt the rematch is going to happen.

paul on his twitter, said the rematch is in the works by hbo executives, and that they actually are up for a trilogy.....and are pushing for the 2nd fight to be in new york, good news for paulie.....but golden boys is the one ****ing up the negotiations........gbp and diaz wont do new york, and are pushing vegas.....paulie says he wont do vegas because gbp "controls" vegas as well.......he says hbo's idea is to do the rematch in late jan or early feb. in new york......and if the 3rd fight is to happen it will be chicago........paulie based on his twitter seems real up beat, and seems things are looking up for a rematch, with a good shot it happens in new york...

so rematch could be on ...

any word on the weight? another catch weight .. or straight up 140?

**you'd think that Paulie has better things to do then rematch a Lightweight, but then again with all the uproar the first fight created (especially that 118 scorecard) the rematch could have that much more steam behind it.

as if you can't sell the "these men hate each other angle"

judging controversy the next best thing.

As a fan, I would look to see paulie move on to a title shot.....urango isnt going to get a bradley or khan anytime soon....malignaggi makes sense at the moment....paulie's stock went way up since the diaz fight both boxing and business sense.....

paulie is pushing for the rematch for pride.....which is understandable...

I have a feeling if it goes to new york we will see the catchweight......

and it is starting to get personal diaz fired back for the first time at malignaggi recently in an interview i saw

well **** talking and boxing are a given, Diaz isn't the first fighter to talk smack, and won't be the last

right that the **** talking is going on now, but im saying post fight, the thing Paulie/Diaz will be most known for is it's scorecards

**yeah I'd like to see Urango/Paulie as well, maybe even on Friday Night fights? (as Urango has appeared their several times vs Bailey, Ngoudjo, Rabah .. and a couple more) ... besides, with Bailey knocked off, Herman recovering from a Broken jaw, Bradley fighting Peterson in December, Khan fighting Salita

I could see Malignaggi slide right in to fight Urango ... hell ESPN could jump all over it.
