may have been lopsided but it was far more exciting. hence, hatton is a far more entertaining fighter than baldomir. surely most would agree on that ?

Yuck- Im not saying Malignaggi is a knock out artist and that's his draw...
But I am going to say that Malignaggi has Hatton's number- He DIDN'T compare himself to floyd, in fact in past interviews he has stated the floyd is number 1 atg. He put himself in the "Speedy boxer" category where anyone else also would have put floyd. You don't have to be the king of england to be a king. Also, what he said is true. Collazo beat him up. Floyd knocked him out. even Lazcano outboxed and outslicked hatton after something like a 15month layoff. So, i don't think he is out of place saying that speed kills hatton. Also, this is one time when he doesn't just attack another fighter's clothing style, or sexuality, or some other demoralizing attack. He makes a very accurate analysis of his opponent. He compares him to John Ruiz, which is also very accurate, hit and hold. Hatton doesn't handle speed well and if Paulie comes to the fight with his A game, he beat hatton with a WIIIIDE UD or worse ...

no, Baldo is great; he's slow but he's always coming forward throwing punches. hatton throws a leaping left hook, holds on and tries to hit and hold until the referee breaks. :-(

At least he's hyping the fight. :D Really can't see Malignaggi winning this, he just lacks serious power to back Hatton up. He can still do it if he looks to score points and avoid Hatton's punches.

Too bad for him, he won't be considered one of the best. He has no punching power and while that can be overlooked, he is average at best. A Pernell Whitaker he is not.

Heh- I meant to say "I'm not saying Paulie has Hatton's number but i think he takes it and...". (sometimes its easier to talkboxing than to type it, huh? :))

I agree with you that Hatton dominated the fight against Lazcano, but just as soon as Lazcano started to put together his own offense, Hatton started to get battered. Also- Lazcano was just coming off of a loss as well WITH a 15month layoff to boot.
