And Pac absolutely destroyed him in 2 rounds at his best weight, so, he was over rated if he was 8 - 10. Pavlik did better than that against Bhop and went up 2 divisions, so that would mean Pavlik is right behind Bhop? No? Try again.
No...not at all. Just that the gap between 1 and the bottom 10 is absolutely vast. The P4P Top 10 is all subjective but when it goes below the top 5 (JMM, Pac, Floyd, Hopkins and Mosley) it gets REALLY REALLY bad. There's a massive gap right now after the top 5, it's almost like going from 1st row seats to the nose bleeds. So if people have or had Hatton at the bottom portion of the top 10, there's nothing wrong with that. The bottom portion of the top 10 is so churnable that there's no reason to really argue about it. As per Hatton being elite? I don't know if he's elite but he's certainly a B+ to A- fighter. On the level below elite but on a level above most other fighters.
I can't go with A- for Hatton. Do you rank Pavlik top 10 and elite because he did better against Bhop on an off night than Hatton did against Pac and Hatton was 100%? At the moment, I'd give you that Pac and JMM are two of the best, but I'd be leary to go much past that at this point myself.
No pavlik is not top ten becuase his best win is JT who has been foundout to be fairly crap. Being KO'd by someone as limited as Froch and Pavlik has proved this. Pavlik was favourite for the fight and he got taken to school, Pac was favourite theres the difference. I knew you'd try and skew this onto Pavlik somehow, predictable bull**** from you.
There was nothing overrated about Hatton he has a solid resume and has wins over 2 p4p fighters and had a belt at WW. And if Bhop had serious KO power that fight wouldn't have went 1 round. The gulf was embarrasing. The thing is, Pac is in his prime right now and number 1 p4p. Bhop is 43, and nowhere near his prime but still made Pavlik look like a peice of trailer park garbage.
No, I work it by the process that if someones in the top 10 p4p boxers in the WORLD.. how on earth is that not elite? That's my thinking, since the KO, no. But i'm talking in the context of the Paulie fight.
I hated Paulie until he fought Cotto and took a beating in a competitive fight and earned my respect. He's a good fighter but not elite.
That simply means he wasn't elite when he fought Paulie and people, in spite of their best guesses, were simply wrong. And Hatton's boss, Golden Boy, had him ranked top 10? Who cares? Hatton has not declined that much since he fought Paulie and I think we will see records going forward bearing all this out.
