I'm not saying he can't beat pauli, just that at this current moment he doesnt deserve to be above him in the rankings. So you think Holt should be made no 1 contender in the division, even though he's lost 1 of his last 3. He's just won his first ever title via the help of a head butt in the first round; after having been knocked down twice? He hasn't even defended a title once yet. Holt, the Holt who also got beat by a no-mark who has lost 7 of his 20 fights.
Bro I didnt say he should be ranked ahead of Paulie. But I think he'd beat Paulie. Ive only seen Bradley against Witter, and based on that I'd give him a good chance against Paulie. And I wouldnt be certain that Paulie beats Witter. Lamont Peterson is still a bit too green to beat Paulie, but in a year he might be able to. He's more talented than Paulie. Ortiz would be extremely dangerous for Paulie. 140 is a wide open division IMO. Hatton is so past it, that I'd give most the top 10 guys a legit chance of beating him. I wouldnt be surprised if Paulie beat him. Rankings aside, theres no clear "best" at 140 right now imo.
Ngoudjo beat the crap our of Malignaggi and got robbed so no way Paulies no1. Hell some people had him losing his last fight against Ndou too
fight will be close. mayweather knocked out hatton. malignaggi wasnt kod by cotto. does this mean paulie has a better chin surving maybe the harder puncher? even though neither hatton or paulie looked good in their last fight im gonna give the edge to paulie. his hand was injured and his braids were in his face, lol. hatton is not not be same fighter mentally and physically after mayweather. i can see paulie trying to emulate what floyd did to outpoint him to a decision.
Mags won some rounds vs Cotto and did so fighting Cotto's fight. N'dou and Ngoudjo are good fighters and are not c level fighters. I would put my money on Paulie vs everyone at 140 except MAYBE Hatton and Bradley.
No. Hatton wasn't KO'd by Tsyzu and he's a harder puncher than Cotto. Paulie's hand gets hurt every fight, and he's always apprehensive about using it. He didn't look that good against N'Dou even when the braids weren't in his face. I think he's more apprehensive about taking a punch. I won't matter against Paulie. Fat chance of that happening. Floyd has excellent defense and had Hatton hitting air and his shoulders the whole night, Paulie's defense is suspect at best. Floyd has excellent footwork, and was able to lure Hatton where he wanted him to go, Paulie's footwork is nowhere near as advanced. Mayweather was able to keep Hatton off balance. Hatton had no idea which punch was coming. He was getting hit by jabs, left hooks, straight rights, uppercuts and body shots. Hatton only has to look out for one punch against Paulie, the jab. Paulie throws an occasional straight right but there is not much on it. The same goes for his left hook and uppercut. His body work isn't that impressive either. Lastly, all though Floyd isn't a big puncher, he's a very sharp, accurate puncher that can hurt you. He was able to stun Hatton a few times before stopping him. Paulie's punches can't break wind. Given all this, I fail to see how Paulie can emulate Floyd. Paulie wil do the same thing he always does; go backwards, and throw a bunch of jabs mixed in with an occasional straight right.
He's garbage. Lost to Ngoudjo easily, don't know what those judges were looking at. Was extremely poor against N'dou Hatton, Witter, Kotelnik, Bradley and Ngoudjo all beat him. Probably Ortiz too.
He has one of the biggest mouths in boxing while doing the least to back it up. He's a bit better than average but not much else. A Hatton past his best will still take care of him no problems.
bullshivism! malignaggi is the best jr welterweight in the world... better than b level torres better than c level kotlenkin (sp?) better than herman ndojo
That is why he needed a gift from the judges against Ngoudjo :think atsch I think he will regret stalking Hatton, put it that way.
