Id like to see this fight, its an interesting match up though Paulie should box his ears off, and i think the pressers would be hilarious from Paulie.

It will be an interesting fight, will McGregor be fit enough for 12 round?

Easy PPV to market to casual fans.

It would be a money grab but to be fair it is a money maker, assuming McGregor don't expect "Mayweather money", the pair of them love to talk, it would be a very funny and entertaining build up and McGregor fans would turn out in force for the fight and buy PPV's.

The MMA fans would fancy their mans chances of beating Paulie so they would believe they could finally give boxing a poke in the eye.

It would be a very poor spectacle, from what we've seen of McGregor the style don't scream "good fight" and Paulie looks a little fat and old these days and McGregor can't really box.

It's not my idea of a good fight but people will buy it so I'm not surprised Hearn would sell it, he would make money.

If McGregor steps into the ring again, do you think it's a disgrace to boxing?

I wonder if the silicone fillers Paulie's had injected into his face could be damaged or explode during the fight.

Eddie Hearn reminds me of MacGuyver.

If you gave MacGuyver a Teddie Bear a brick and a lighter he'd make a flamethrower.

Give eddie hearn TBC & TBA and he'd be able to make it PPV.

Basically N17s post sums it up nicely. If Eddie feels he can make good money from it, he will promote it.

Depends who against and why, if McGregor was serious about a move in to boxing and started at a low level to get a couple of wins and then took larger steps up then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

If McGregor just wants high profile fights for large sums of money against high level fighters then I believe it damages boxing because he simply isn't at that level and it just another money grab.

Fans are not completely stupid they will just stop buying them and then it's a bad look for all involved.

Even this shot Paulie would outbox him. McGregor would do OK early but gas as usual.

Would never have thought this fight would turn out this way or 1 second after midnight is a new day.

What makes the fight is the back story and the soon to be released netflix documentary will add fuel to the fire, its a bad move for Conor's future in mma though, he needs another mma fight soon to get the rust off and confidence back.

Would have zero interest in this. A retired feather fister vs a novice feather fister .

Audley Harrison v Danny Williams III would be more exciting.

Nor will Conor respond favourably when Paulie drags him deep, basically because he only has a three round gas tank. Poor cardio and condition will turn even the mightiest lion into the feeblest mouse -- which is what will happen to McGregor when, at the end of the seventh round with his face reddened and his mouth hanging open, sucking in air for dear life, he will lean in close and utter to Malignaggi, "It's only business: nothing personal, old chum." :sisi1

Eddie can promote it, and buy himself another Fast Car from the proceeds.
