The **** does matter. If you are cutting weight or losing weight the hardest pounds to shed are the last couple of pounds because you are losing muscle. If it didn't matter why act like a ***** and ask for it?

My point exactly, it's obnoxious how when people get heated becasue Pac is weight draining his opponenets their response is always "well it's ONLY two pounds! What's the big deal?!" Well this shows the big deal :good

It won't effect Cotto either, as long as he rehydrates properly. but Cotto was 146 against Clottey i'm sure that extra pound will not effect Cotto. He didn't look bad against Clottey as far as his movement, conditioning, and power ...

if it does matter then why take it:think Obviously Paulie felt he could fight at this weight so he went through with it. Stop crying about the weight I remember clearly when Paulie was talking **** to Cotto at the presser cus Cotto was draining himself so Paulie can **** off for all I care.

Pac could still make 135 lbs easily. The fight is 10lbs above that. So even if Cotto drains a little bit, he is still fighting a bloated lightweight. He still has the advantage.

I suppose I'd get over the weight issue if everyone would just be honest and admit we're simply adding more weight classes, cause what's the point of the current "limits" if they're no longer the limits? I understand he agreed to the weight, but I'd agree to a catch weight if it guaranteed me 15 million against pac-man, but it's hard to argue that it isn't a disadvantage. If he wins pac will not have beaten a welterweight, he'll have beaten a mid-light-welterweight or whatever you wanna call the new weight class!

Paulie wasn't weight drained at all, he had stamina and speed, if he was weight drained he couldn't have maintained that.

HBO didn't keep talking about it, they foreshadowed it early in case it came up later.. thats what commentators do, they build a story, foreshadow events, and then if happens they look "smart'.. but it was just speculation, speculation that was false.

    Paule was NOT weight drained.

Cotto isn't Paulie. End of story. There are examples of the good and the bad when coming down in weight, but Cotto is Cotto. No one else. Pointless thread. Bottom Line
