Edner Cherry is 22-5-2 He is not a B fighter. I give you Ndou as a c fighter at this stage and Ndou fought cotto when he only had 19 pro fights and wasn't the same cotto he is today.Being in the ring with cotto doesn't automatically jump u up a level.(which is true for Ndou and Paulie) Also what would you call Donald Camerana and Jeremy Yelton? I think you need to take a closer look at the magic mans record. Gettin your face reconstructed by cotto and beating 22 bums(only knocking out 5) and one 35 year old c class fighter doesn't make you B class.

 

I think its more based on the fact that Malignaggi easily defeated NDou. Whereas Chavez Jr hasn't shown the ability to completely dominate a guy like Carlos Molina (8-4-1 now) working hard to get a draw and a majority decision. Or not being able to put away a guy like Christian Solano (19-10-4) who has been knocked out by less than stellar competition. Malignaggi is pillow fisted to be sure, but he has loads more skill than Chavez does. And the ability to take a punch, which limits Chavez to trying to outbox him for the most part.

 

I understand where you are coming from, and I'm not saying that JCC Jr is going to beat Paulie, but to say that Paulie would easily out class him is far fetched. I don't see this fight as uneven as most of you are simply because I don't think Paulie deserves the credit most people one here shower him with. JCC Jr may have fought lesser comp but he has ko'ed 26 of the 33 bums he's been in with. You also have to remember that JCC Jr is only 21 and hasn't had a real ameatur career. Again, I'm not saying that JCC JRbeats Paulie, but it certainly has the makings to be a better fight than most of you are making out to be. Paulie isn't that what many of you are making him out to be. I don't think Paulie goes 6 rounds with casamoyer or Torres.

Chavez isn't as bad as most people say. I personally don't think he is ready to step up to Paulie's level. If he'll ever be, I'm not sure. He's young and can improve a lot, and needs to improve a lot, whether he can is the subject of endless debate.

As for Paulie not going 6 rounds with Casa or Torres..I don't agree with that at all. While he may be held up a bit too high for his fight with Cotto, he still showed he can last under an extreme amount of punishment. I don't think Casa or Torres can dish out Cotto's amount of damage. Whether or not Malignaggi wins..*shrugs*..but I think he definately goes the distance myself.

Yeah prior to fighting Cotto Paullie wasn't even on the C+ level because he is not known and hyped. But after he had shown that he can hang on with Cotto and the top notch fighters in the division like N'dou, he had raised his level to B or even A.

What about JCC Jr? Had he fought top level oppositions? Not yet :-( . . . so it's only natural for people to say he is not on Paullie's level yet. :yep

 

Paulie would KO Chavez. Not because he has power, but because of the massive difference in skill here. Chavez is no where near ready. If his handlers put him in there with Paulie, it should be taken as a kamikaze attempt on his career.

I seriously get amazed by boxing fans on the internet.... Chavez has had trouble with guys who would get destroyed by lower tier journeymen fighters 9 times out of 10. He has the very bad habit of gloating over wins over guys who work as night security at the local shopping mall and box part time when they can get time off. The guy COULD become a real fighter, but he isn't yet.

 

Paulie would beat Jr and i hope this fight is made.

 

Paulie would get his 6th KO victory.
