Thanks for that.Dont get 2 see strikeforce in oz.. I personally have thought from day one that Lashley was the real deal..Im not saying he is going to beat Fedor but he is definetly step by step moving forward.I cant believe how big he is...And he has to be clean as they test after bouts. Melvin must be kicking himself letting Lawler get the massive right in..Talk about hail mary like.. Im sure lawler will be limping around for the next week or so..Wicked leg kicks.
Melvins my boy but he's got to get this **** together. Robbie was minutes away from being pulverised. Manhoef kicked the **** out of his legs and he could hardly walk. A hail mary later and Melvin is lookin gup at the stars. KO or be KO'ed.... the Manhoef way. Good win for Lashley. The UFC will be knocking soon. Sims needs to call it a day. He just looks fat old and disinterested.
Melvin was looking a class above. Very dissapointing. If i were strikeforce i would give lashley 2-3 more fights against decent opposition then if he passes throw him to Fedor..That would be a very big fight ratings wise.
I doubt Lashley has the balls to get in the cage with Fedor. Would be a good "ratings" fight at least.
Why not?? How else is he going to achieve becoming the champ?? That is obviously why he has taken up MMA.
Lashley has been taken his development slowly in MMA. And that is the right approach in my eyes. But he'll need more than a handful of fights before he'll get in the ring with a guy like Fedor. I just dont think he has the confidence yet.
Now thats how your previous post should of been worded.. Rather then Lashley not having the balls.. But yeah totally agree with you..I like the way Bobby is going about his career..Come time when he may get a title shot people probably wont have reason to hate on him(like alot do about Lesnar).
Rosario is the right next step for Lashley. He's had 5 fights against good journeymen. Now he needs a fight where the other guy can make him think and improve. The heavies are set for their next few fights so Lashley can have a couple more to grow.
Thats Melvin for you, kinda like his team mate Hari. Credit to Robbie, he stuck in there and managed to get that big shot. It would be good to see a rematch in the future. I'm sure Melvin and Zaromskis will be back though.
Melvin certainly lost that fight way more than Robbie won it. The guy was about 30 seconds away from relieving Robbie of his ability to stand and he decides to get reckless and go for the immediate ko instead of continuing his systematic and poetic destruction of Lawler. Why??? It's ok to go to the second round, Melvin, that doesn't mean you lost. :-( Corrected.
i cant help but think that lawler really did plan that ko punch, look how after the first hook manhoef lands lawler rolls his head around like hes hurt to lure him in but malvin didnt fall for it, then in the post fight lawler said that when he watched tapes of melvin he realized he dropped his hands when he went for the finish.
I also think that was his plan. It paid off, but its a very risky gameplan when your fighting someone like Melvin.
I think Lawler planned that punch too. He took a passive approach early and was biding his time. I think it was the leg kicks that made him realise he had to get the **** on with it. Lawler also said he was expecting Manhoef to punch and set up kicks but the opposite happened so once Manhoef came in with punches he closed the show. When you've got power like Lawler, I'm not sure if it is ever luck.
