manny cant close the gap anymore - floyd has done a leonard

in his last 2 fights pacquaio has been very passive , vs mosley although he dominated the fight he didnt have the same energy especially in his legs to get close enough to land major damage.

tonight was the same , he was to wary to land punches , simply in many round he never got close enough.

if he is to fight mayweather then id make mayweather favorite now , before these 2 fights i had pacquaio winning but now i think time , age and hard wars have caught up with manny

damn that fight should have been 2-3 years ago....could floyd have done a leanord vs hagler and wait till the time is right???

i scored the fight 114-114 watched the fight on an hbo stream who i felt were very biased towards manny , ledderman had it 116-112 manny...i cant see it honestly....hbo did show punchstats and in most rounds manny was out landing marquez although marquez was more accurate and conservative with his punches.

i will watch the fight again as my stream wasnt the best , it was a fraction slower than real time so hopefully when i see the fight again i will have a better view and probably a different scorecard

 

I think he knew that JMM would counter,in doing so he threw less,and JMM himself fought a unusually good defensive style there.. This was not the slug fest we thought it would be like the last 2 fights..

Also JMM fought a very intelligent fight,picking his spots and at times really frustrating Pac..

Saying Pacquaio is past his best based on this is missing a few facts. He looked pretty much the same as he did in 2008. And Ariza said Pacquaio was at his absolute best. Mayweather imo was always all wrong for Pacquaio, Pacman is great against pressure fighters, not against defensive counter punchers

Manny can't close a gap on a guy that's fought him straight up twice and a running scare has-been. Against your garden variety world level fighter who actually comes to win he'll be just fine.

Against Money May tell whatever kind of story you want he was never going beat that ass. Been saying it for years. BE sure of it since May-Mosely.
