yep. but you have to remember that pac has that strong right hook counter after he flurries and opponents try to back him up. he started using this punch from the 2nd morales fight onwards. pac also has a right jab now.

david tried to catch pac in between flurries but he got the business end of pac's right jab and right hook instead.

I could see that but as much as Morales looked good in that first fight, its was a 2 pt fight..Note that many didnt know that its Pacs first fight at 130..Now put that in perspective moving up in weight and facing Morales not David Diaz for your first fight

Yes I was suprised too that he kept his energy up. I would attribute that to two things-- not being hit back and not missing. His making contact with the gloves of Diaz was easier than having him slip punches.

JCC was no more shot than Morales. That's your opinion. Both were shot. JCC wasn't on a losing streak nor had he just lost to a B level fighter. And Whitaker was no where near shot, just past it. I scored DLH-Whitaker for Whitaker, I scored both JMM-Pacquiao fights for JMM. Neither is a bigger robbery, but entirely different fights.

Removing those wins STILL gives DLH an edge. He beat Vargas, Quartey, Hernandez, Gonzalez, and Castillejo. He still beat more champions, won more titles in more weight classes, and was more skilled. Where is it that Pacquiao has an advantage?

Who cares about his popularity. I suggest you take a deeper look into DLH's resume.

Nobody in specific, although I see Diaz, Cambell, and Casa as even money with Pac. Diaz for the activity and workrate, and his ability to push Pac back. Cambell for his ability to stand in with Pac and get his respect. Casa for his veteran know-how and ability to pull guys into his game.

For all of those qualities, Pac obviously brings his own qualities. Should be interesting.

But as I said, the fatigue was something I took note of. That kind of fatigue tells me Pac has officially started his career in weight classes with bigger men and that always plays a factor.

As far as Pac's Fatigue went it was probably due to his gang-buster pace throughout the fight. It seemed like he could hit Diaz whenever he wanted to so he just kept throwing power punche expecting Diaz to get really hurt. But up until the 9th round it wasn't working. Honestly, at the starting of the ninth round Pac came out looking ragged and got caught with the best punch diaz had thrown all night and I thought "oh crap we might be about to see another Wlad v Brewster I." But the punch seemed to energize Pac and Diaz picked the wrong time to go for it and we all saw what happened.

My point is I think Pac's fatigue was more due to him punching himself silly instead of a more serious stamina issue. He should watch though. A spectavular knockout might not be what the 135 lb doctor ordered for PAc. He probably won't be knocking any of the big guns out at 135 lb so he should be more focused on boxing smart and remaining fresh.

Pacquiao's big fights weren't as big as DLH's. You also cannot penalize DLH for fighting MORE big fights than Pacquiao. Uneven playing field. He lost big fights and won big fights.

The Barrera win certainly doesn't give Pacquiao an edge over DLH even with the Chavez wins and the Whitaker removed (And both of Pacquiao's wins over Morales and one win over JMM removed). Pacquiao's next big wins after the 3 Mexicans don't come close to Vargas, Hernandez, Quartey etc. DLH has every conceivable edge in such a comparison.

You would have a better case for Pacquiao's resume over Jones than DLH. DLH has a better resume than Jones and Hopkins, but not the ability.

I agree but Diaz gonnected with alot of body shots as well, albeit always in the last minute of every round. Pac just looks sturdier out there..he got tagged in exchanges too and it didnt seem to bother him..

I think Roach was playing possum with Pacs speed all week. He obviously brought it with him ..therein lies his sucess in the division, coz frankly according to Diaz post fight interview, no ones even close:lol:

Why dont you leave out Quartey as well? OK Vargas(post Tito), Hernandez vs. MAB. We agree to disagree, let discuss this again after November

Why should I leave Quartey out? Because you think it was a robbery? It wasn't. Again, I scored that one for Quartey, but it could easily go to DLH. It was no robbery.

Vargas regained his title, it was still a good win. He wasn't shot or even close. You think MAB alone can trump all the other champions DLH beat?

We can agree to disagree. But don't tell me history has already judged anything. It clearly hasn't. I have seen no list moving Pacquiao ahead of Hopkins (or even) or DLH. And near Jones? Roy Jones Jr? The RJJ? Pacquiao is an ATG no doubt. But we can have an RJJ fans vs Pac fans fight anyday. (I am partially kidding....but only partially)
